Greyed A²⁸

Age: 7| Weight: 11-12| J: Sam Twiston-Davies| T: Dr R D P Newland| OR: 108| CD

11/10

Easy winner of four-runner novice handicap chase over C&D (heavy) last month on second start over fences. Entitled to hold solid claims on the back of that.

Form: 36P-9P1

Allchilledout^b⁴¹

Age: 9| Weight: 11-10| J: Harry Cobden| T: C L Tizzard| OR: 106

3/1

Hit and miss character, won over 3m on heavy ground at Chepstow on this day last year but more miss than hit since and yard are 0-36 recently, which doesn't help confidence. Pulled up at Lingfield in November on most recent sighting.

Form: 124P-7P

Lac Sacre^b,t²¹

Age: 9| Weight: 11-7| J: T J O'Brien| T: J L Flint| OR: 103

8/1

Record is 1-17 over fences, win coming over just shy of 3m on soft at Chepstow in May off 102. Not built on that since but step in the right direction over this sort of trip at Ffos Las in December on heavy going and gets another 1lb back here.

Form: 1P-P663

Itoldyou^p³⁵

Age: 12| Weight: 11-3| J: William Clarke⁽⁷⁾| T: Mrs L C Jewell| OR: 99| CD

13/2

Veteran hasn't won since March 2015 over C&D but his consistency has been his downfall with six placed efforts in seven starts ensuring he isn't getting a lot of relief. May have needed last month's reappearance at Plumpton and not discounted now.

Form: 3632-25

Finish The Story^b,t²²⁵

Age: 12| Weight: 11-1| J: Brendan Powell| T: J Farrelly| OR: 97| D

6/1

Now 12-years-old, was second here in May off this rating on good ground over similar trip but really testing ground might be a cause for concern on return from 225 days off.

Form: P1443-2

Forecasts

Greyed A (11/10), Allchilledout (3/1), Finish The Story (6/1), Itoldyou (13/2), Lac Sacre (8/1)

It is hard to suggest that GREYED A won anything other than an ordinary contest over C&D last month but he did so in great style and Richard Newland's charge would well prove up to the follow-up now on what is only his third outing over fences. Finish The Story isn't getting any younger and the testing ground is a concern on his return from a layoff but he went well here in May when last spotted. The chief threat could well be Itoldyou, who hasn't won since a C&D success in March 2015 but has routinely run well since and should be a bit sharper after his reappearance at Plumpton.
