Came good around this time last year when rattling off a quickfire treble of 1m6f wins but mark shot up as a result. Decent effort when a runner-up at Wolverhampton (2m) last month before finding 1m4f too sharp last time.
Multiple winner in Italy in his younger days but has flattered to deceive in this country, though ran well to finish a 1¾L third behind Sunblazer over 2m at Kempton recently. Should be in the mix.
Lingfield specialist (all three career wins there) but stays well and finished a respectable 3L fourth behind Noble Behest over 2m there latest. Now 4lb better off with that rival but remains above her highest winning mark.
Flat success in France and won a maiden hurdle for Nicky Henderson just over a year ago. Eyecatching third over C&D from this mark last month but a laboured effort in the mud over hurdles on Monday just tempers enthusiasm.
Scored successive course wins over shorter last winter and, following a few indifferent efforts, she has recently returned to form, though arguably flattered to get within a neck of Noble Behest at Lingfield (2m) latest. Now 3lb better off, however.
Ineffective initially but has thrived since being stepped up to this trip, running up a hat-trick of wins for Marcus Tregoning before opening up with a win for this yard at Lingfield (2m). Raised a further 3lb ahead of his five-timer bid.
Forecasts
Noble Behest (6/4), Start Seven (10/3), Vettori Rules (9/2), Lost The Moon (5/1), Ayr Of Elegance (12/1), Argante (20/1)
Noble Behest has proved unstoppable since stepping up in trip and had enough about him to master LOST OF THE MOON by a neck at Lingfield last time with Ayr Of Elegance further back. There shouldn't be much between them once again but, the combination of a 3lb pull and the presence of the in-form Robert Winston in the plate, may just be enough to see the runner-up reverse form. Vettori Rules showed enough over this trip at Kempton recently to also warrant consideration.
- Lost The Moon
- Noble Behest
- Ayr Of Elegance
