Out-classed in conditions company at Wolverhampton last time out but had completed a hat-trick prior to that start and is now returned to a more suitable type of race, 4lb higher than his last winning mark.

Only narrowly beaten favourite at Southwell last time out. Acts on all type of all-weather surface but is 4lb higher than his last run for this return to Polytrack.

Has improved on earlier form in his last few runs, including on the Polytrack the last twice. Switches back to handicapping after a defeat at Evens at Kempton last time out and has to have a big say here in first-time blinkers.

Nine-race maiden who has gone close in a couple of races (including 6f nurseries), but ultimately has something to find with a few of these. Cheek pieces on.

Return to this trip should suit given this is the only distance he has won over, but obvious improvement needed given he is 12lb higher now.

Forecasts

City Gent (2/1), Joegogo (11/4), Mossketeer (7/2), Montague (9/2), Zabaletaswansong (10/1)

Verdict

Joegogo will find this a more suitable assignment than when being out-classed in a conditions race at Wolverhampton last time and should go well but preference is for CITY GENT. He has shown an improved level of form recently, including on this surface and despite being defeated at a short price last time should be able to give a very good account of himself now switching back to handicaps. Montague is developing into a useful AW performer and completes the tricast.
  1. City Gent
  2. Joegogo
  3. Montague
