Ran well to be just touched off twice on turf before deservedly opening his account at Lingfield (5f) latest, squeezing between two front-runners to score by a neck from Ghepardo. Should continue to do well but penalty to overcome.
Raced keenly before weakening into eighth on his debut over 6f at Kempton last month. Sure to come on for that experience and, having cost £42,000 as a yearling, he's dangerous to discard.
Considering he cost €200,000 it has been very disappointing to see him finish well beaten in novice events at Chepstow (7f) and Lingfield (5f) so far. Still early days but others more persuasive right now.
Picked up for just €5,000 as a two-year old (cost more as a yearling) and shaped nicely in a novice auction over C&D on his debut over 5f when a 1L runner-up. Open to improvement but this looks a better race.
Eight starts to date have yielded five seconds and filled that spot for the third time over this C&D in first-time cheekpieces latest. They are left off here with a tongue-tie introduced, so remains of interest in this sort of grade.
€60,000 juvenile who shaped pretty well first time out when finishing fifth of 13 on his debut over 6f at Newcastle over three months ago. Ensuing absence suggests a slight issue but potentially a big player with improvement likely.
Yard not renowned for juvenile winners and has showed little to enthuse about in a couple of 5f events much earlier in the season. Returns from a lengthy break having been gelding and likely best watched.
Cost €55,000 as a yearling but showed little of note in two hot 7f Newmarket maidens for Tony Carroll on turf. This much more realistic for a new yard and it's too early to dismiss him entirely.
An eight race maiden, but has shown improvement since switched to synthetics, finishing a 1L third of seven behind Little Boy Blue over 5f at Lingfield earlier this month. Should find a race before long.
February filly by Epaulette and changed hands for 115,000 guineas as a two-year-old. Yard's juveniles invariably command respect and has to be of interest if market vibes are positive.

Forecasts
Midsummer Knight (15/8), Global Rose (5/1), Little Boy Blue (11/2), Royal Pursuit (6/1), Los Camachos (7/1), Reiffa (15/2), Cloud Eight (10/1), Tommy Boy (11/1), Avon Green (16/1), Gunnar Julius (33/1), Rusty Blade (66/1)
Little Boy Blue sets the standard on the form of his recent Lingfield win but, considering he's been penalised 7lb, may struggle to confirm form with Avon Green who was only 1L in arrears. Reiffa is clearly a newcomer worth noting and Midsummer Knight should again be competitive but it may pay to overlook them all in favour of ROYAL PURSUIT who ran well for a long way on his debut at Newcastle in a race which has thrown up a number of subsequent winners.
- Royal Pursuit
- Midsummer Knight
- Reiffa
