Placed in a point-to-point and a bumper in 2016 but well held in three starts over hurdles so far. Likely to fare better now sent handicapping and market support would be interesting. Also declared 14:50 Market Rasen.

Successful over C&D last year and running well in the main in 2017. Finished third over 3m at Musselburgh (good) last time out and this drop in trip should prove no inconvenience.

Sole success came in a point-to-point in May 2015. Well beaten on his only completed start in that sphere last season and he is probably best watched on his debut for a new yard today.

Fair effort when fourth in a novice hurdle at Carlisle (good-to-soft) in February. Put a non-completion behind him when well held at the same course last time and he is worth a check in the market on handicap debut.

Forecasts

Hit And Run (2/1), Wig Wam Wiggle (3/1), Ange Des Malberaux (7/1), Instant Replay (8/1), Theatre Act (17/2), Pray For A Rainbow (9/1), Wind Of Hope (10/1), Cyrano Star (12/1), Gentleman James (14/1), Park House (16/1), Charin' Cross (25/1), One In A Row (28/1), Fiddler's Flight (33/1), Sory (33/1)

Verdict

WIG WAM WILLIE remains unexposed and can follow up last months Hexham success by take this handicap hurdle. The selection has to defy a 7lb rise for that success and can see off Ange Des Malberaux who ran well over further last time out and has won over C&D in the past. Of the remainder Hit And Run represents a yard in good form at present (8/26) and he can finish third while Theatre Act is another worthy of consideration having won off a higher mark in the past.

  2. Ange Des Malberaux
