Not seen on the Flat since 2015 when he was fairly useful for Richard Fahey (ran off 81 in a handicap) and then had one outing in Germany before embarking on a hurdling career. Twice a winner in that sphere but shown little of late; makes Fibresand debut.
Useful on the Flat when trained in Ireland winning four AW handicaps at Dundalk at up to 1m4f plus a maiden. Hasn't shown anything like that level of form for his current yard his latest run particularly poor (pulled hard; found little) and now makes his Fibresand debut.
Fairly good record on this surface overall and 131 over C&D with the wins coming off marks of 73 and 75. Given a chance by the handicapper on turf but not so well treated on the AW although ran respectably here last time and this may be a little easier.
Shaped well on his debut here and duly won next time out back on turf at Nottingham under an aggressive ride. Back here last time out over 1m4f and again ran well although his free-going style can take its toll on this surface and this slightly shorter trip may see him to better advantage.
Fair maiden who has run with credit in two of her three handicaps on turf and looked suited by front-running tactics and first-time cheekpieces (left off here) at Nottingham in July. Not seen since then and may need this on Fibresand debut; sire has 10% strike-rate on this surface.
Remains a maiden despite showing some fair form in handicaps the last twice for this yard having previously been with Richard Hannon. Left with a lot to do last time under patient tactics back in a maiden and makes his Fibresand debut now; sire worth following on this surface.
Forecasts
Topamichi (10/11), Swift Cedar (11/4), Sonnetist (5/1), Vigee Le Brun (12/1), Song Of Love (20/1), Brotherly Company (66/1)
A fairly weak finale and the small field should suit TOPAMICHI who likes to race prominently and could attempt to dominate here having shown he acts on this surface with the furlong shorter trip looking to be in his favour. Swift Cedar should go well here having a decent record over C&D although he did look a little laboured here last time out and his stable mate Sonnetist could be of more interest if he takes to the surface (his sire is starting to look an influence on Fibresand). Vigee Le Brun now starts life for a new yard having previously been with Brian Meehan and looks a viable proposition if she takes to this surface.
