Showed improved form for the switch to this trip on penultimate start. Slower ground and a stiffer track here though plus he meets the winner (Red Admirable) on identical terms.
16-race maiden who has been down the field on both starts for this yard. Drops further in the weights but hard to enthuse over.
The sort this yard do well with and he's dropped quickly in the handicap after being given a considerate first run for this yard after a break. Down in grade with a top conditional on board so one to note in the market.
Generally runs well here but that can also be said for Fakenham where he was tailed off on return 17 days ago. The ground would have been wrong for him that day and will probably be on the slow side again here.
Has improved since stepping up to 3m on a soft surface and made all to score last time. Could still be on the right side of the handicapper.
Improved effort last time when obviously suited by the quicker surface. Off the track since May 2016 and likely to need the run.
Picked up his first win in 32 months at Taunton last time so that hardly makes him a likely type to follow up. Had something in hand that day so should confirm placings with Midnight Magic at least.
Has a 1-35 record and comes here 9lb above her winning mark. Stable are going well having been on the cold list, but she would be expected to need the run.
Tailed off on both hurdles starts this season and did not get very far over fences last time. May need more testing conditions and others readily preferred.
Lightly raced Irish import who makes his debut for new trainer. Has given the impression there may be more to come and this trip might bring it out.
Landed a similarly modest race last time at Southwell when looking slightly fortuitous to do so. The handicapper has been kind, but this longer trip around here on slower ground may expose her limitations.
Showed improved form last time, but it was still a modest effort and a lot more is needed here.
Has jumped poorly on last two starts before eventually pulling up and impossible to fancy as a result.
Tailed off or pulled up in his five starts and he is beginning to look of little account at present.
21-race maiden was in the process of achieving a rare frame finish when coming down at the last on his most recent start. Again races from 8lb out of the weights amidst concerns the ground may be on the slow side.
14-race maiden who has been pulled up eight times out of twelve over hurdles. Impossible to fancy despite the application of headgear.
Forecasts
Triopas (7/4), Rif Raftou (6/1), Red Admirable (7/1), Midnight Magic (10/1), Red Tortue (10/1), Max Dynamo (11/1), Young Lou (16/1), Burgess Dream (20/1), The Lion Man (20/1), Phare Isle (20/1), Run Don't Hide (20/1), Heresmynumber (25/1), Sweet Shirleen (25/1), Dirty Dexter (33/1), Lord Bunnacurry (33/1), Annie'sboydave (100/1)
Red Admirable, Rif Raftou and Triopas bring recent winning form to the table. Of the trio, Triopas looks the most likely to follow up now that connections have found the key to him and his scope to improve further. Irish import Run Don't Hide is one to note in the market beforehand, as is RED TORTUE. Jennie Candlish is adept at placing her horses to advantage and that may be the case here. Her runner has dropped significantly in the weights and this will be the lowest grade he has raced in. The eight-year-old will have needed his latest run and the booking of Mitchell Bastyan looks a positive sign.
