Clearly handles this surface having won here three times overall (twice over C&D) and cashed in on a falling mark last time at Wolverhampton (well backed). Despite taking a strong hold he stayed on well to win but finds himself up 6lb for that win.
Makes his first start on this surface (sire has a fair record here) and this consistent sort is one that can be made a case for if he takes to Fibresand. The 7f trip looked a little too far last time and a return to 6f may well see him gain another place at least.
Not ideally drawn along the inside in stall 1 this will be his first try on this surface having scored most recently over 7f on heavy ground at Carlisle in slightly better grade than this. Below form on his last start on the AW and it remains to be seen how he takes to this surface.
The handicapper appeared to have cut him plenty of slack for his Fibresand debut (cheekpieces back on) when he ran just about his best recent race to win over C&D off 4lb lower. He has in the past been capable of better but it remains to be seen if he can follow-up.
Won consecutive C&D handicap earlier in the year in a lower grade than this although he now finds himself off a 5lb lower mark than his last win. Appeared to come back to life last time at Wolverhampton running well from a poor draw; chance if reproducing that run.
Third on her only start here but not an easy one to catch right although she showed she could handle this surface last time out. Can look a hard ride though (soon off the bridle last time) and others are preferred here.
Well over two years since he last won a race and now makes a belated first appearance on Fibresand (sire has had success here). Fallen a fair way in the weights but despite that and the drop in grade his recent form has been more miss than hit.
First time cheekpieces appeared to help him when he scored for the only time in his career over 6f in a 0-60 at Thirsk. His form on Fibresand is poor though and it took a drop in grade to see him take a step back in the right direction last time; still to prove himself in handicaps on this surface.
Still a maiden after 28 attempts and his one previous run here was very moderate. Has looked out of sorts lately and was always behind at Wolverhampton last time in a lesser grade and runs from out of the handicap here.

Forecasts
Ghaseedah (15/8), The Amber Fort (5/2), Kommander Kirkup (4/1), Viva Verglas (9/2), Vroom (5/1), Meandmyshadow (15/2), Tagur (9/1), Kaaber (10/1), Hugie Boy (11/1), Bop It (20/1), Jacksonfire (50/1)
The switch to this surface and a drop in trip appeared to bring about some much improved form here last time out in a maiden from GHASEEDAH and returned to handicaps she looks more than capable off a mark of 67. Both Vroom and Viva Verglas have form on this surface as does Kaaber although that one can be rather hit and miss. The Amber Fort makes his first start on Fibresand but his breeding gives enough encouragement that he’ll act on this surface while Kommander Kirkup enters the mix if he’s if he’s able to repeat his winning form of last time off a higher mark.

- Viva Verglas
