Sire has a burgeoning record on this surface (5/29) although this one has drawn the trick stall 1 on his Fibresand debut. Already twice an AW winner (on Polytrack/Tapeta) but the handicapper has had plenty to go on and his mark looks tough enough on second nursery start.
Trainer has a good record with his runners here this year (3/8) and this one would have a good chance on her best form despite making her debut on this unique surface. Form is a little in-and-out though and needs to settle better in her races to be fully effective.
Best run in handicaps came on debut when he ran 4th at Nottingham over 6f matching his debut effort. Three runs since then have thrown up question marks though and despite the easing mark he still looks high enough in the weights making his Fibresand debut.
Beat three of today's rivals here last time out over C&D and there won't be much between them again at the revised weights. That was an improved performance and she appeared suited by the surface although a return to 7f may see her in a better light; did run in snatches.
Appeared to be suited by the step up in trip when winning over 6f at Newcastle on his first run for this yard winning narrowly. Ran poorly last time out though when appearing to be unsuited by the track at Wolverhampton and now switches to Fibresand for the first time.
Second here on his only run to Helen Sherbert running well and confirming his good record when headgear is applied. That record did take a little knock last time though when he raced too freely at Kempton over 7f; may do better back here and returned to 6f.
Has one standout piece of form to his name on his second run at Haydock in the summer over 7f when he looked to have improved a great deal from his debut. He's failed to run near that level in three runs since though and ran poorly here last time out and now makes his handicap debut.
May well have travelled the best out of the three rivals that face him again today after he finished third here on his penultimate start over 6f (looked as though 5f may suit). May have looked weak in the finish there and certainly did so last time at Wolverhampton; chance but finishing effort a worry.
Modest form at best shown so far in three maiden the last of those efforts coming on her AW debut. Now steps into handicaps for the first time on a new surface and although by a sire with a good record here can only be watched off what looks a stiff opening mark.

A rematch between four horses that contested a nursery over C&D in the middle of last month and the winner on that occasion – HELEN SHERBERT – could well come out on top again having looked in the end to show a good attitude to reel in Give Em A Clump , Our Kid and Optimickstickhill. The first named of that trio is a consistent sort who should go well again while Our Kid travels well in his races but his last two finishing efforts have looked a little weak. If there is a danger outside of that bunch then it may come in the shape of Lina’s Star who needs to bounce back from a poor run last time but this more galloping circuit may suit better although the surface for the first time is a question mark.
