He was sent off favourite on his bumper debut at Cheltenham but raced too keenly and faded in the last three furlongs. This shorter trip on a flatter track should help and he is taken to justify his six-figure price tag. Lake Washington has middle-distance blood in his pedigree and looks a potential threat, whilst Cotswold Way, Harambe , Thibault, and Flash The Steel are newcomers from top yards that require checking for moves in the market.
