Useful and mildly progressive hurdler last season winning at Ffos Las in February off a mark of 114. Shaped well enough after that off higher marks and despite winning when fresh before looked as though the race would do her good on her return; not out of this at all.
Fairly useful in her Flat days she won her first two hurdles starts when with Neil Mulholland. Not quite lived up to that beginning over hurdles since and when she ran with credit last time over this trip it did look a little on the sharp side for her.
Has some very good bumper form to her name and is progressing gradually over hurdles. Ran at Cheltenham on Saturday and unseated her rider at the sixth. Remains to be seen if she takes up this engagement after that mishap.
Had the run of the race and raced on the right part of the track when scoring on her third hurdles start at Fakenham. Initially looked to have been handed a stiff mark for handicaps and although the handicapper is starting to show some leniency this mark still looks a testing one.
Has a good record at this track recording form figures of 541122 and should always be respected around this course which suits her strong travelling style. Gained reward for her consistency when winning at Hereford last time and should be involved again off a 3lb higher mark.
A winner in bumpers and over hurdles (twice in novices') and she looks too high in the weight based on those two wins. Rather disappointing sent chasing last time (ran in snatches) and now reverts to hurdles off a 4lb lower mark; this still looks a tough ask.
Now well below her last winning hurdles mark and having been chasing she was tried back over hurdles last time (showed little). The handicapper is swift to drop her again though and that makes her well weighted here on her old form but does have an absence to cope with.
Had no chance with a wide margin winner when last seen at Warwick in May 2016 over 2m ridden by an inexperienced 10lb claimer. Returns now after a break to make her handicap debut with a fully-fledged rider on board over a longer trip; may be worth a market check.
Forecasts
Oscar Rose (7/4), Stepover (4/1), Fool To Cry (5/1), Midnight Silver (7/1), Iconic Sky (10/1), Kalaniti (12/1), Beyeh (12/1), Kaddys Dream (14/1)
Midnight Silver may well have needed the run last time when she surrendered her unbeaten Ffos Las record but still ran with credit and she could well be capable of better off this mark. STEPOVER loves this course though that really suits her strong travelling style and she’s taken to add another positive form figure to her record around here. Oscar Rose would be of interest if she does take up her engagement but that’s unlikely after she unseated her rider at Cheltenham on Saturday in a better race than this. This looks on the sharp side for Fool To Cry and Kaddys Dream off bottom weight for a yard that have come back to form of late may be able to outrun her odds.
- Stepover
- Midnight Silver
- Kaddys Dream
