Out of form for much of last season but ran well to finish 3L third over 2m1f at Exeter (soft) on his final outing for Alex Dunn. Worth a check in the market on debut for a new yard.
Winner of a seller over 1m2f on soft ground on the Flat and made a promising return to hurdling when fourth at Taunton (good) last time out. Interesting to see how he fares today.
Successful on each of his last two visits to the racecourse most recently on soft ground over an extended 1m7f at Leicester earlier this month. Races off a 6lb higher mark today and is one for the shortlist today.
Decent effort when third in a Sandown novice hurdle on soft ground over 2m in February but finished a well held third behind an impressive winner over C&D the following month. One to note on handicap debut.
Placed on three of his six hurdles starts to date including when runner-up in a handicap contest over an extended 2m5f at Fontwell (good) last time out. Raised 5lb for that effort and drops in trip today.
Well beaten in two outings since returning from a break having finished third over an extended 2m at Bangor (good-to-soft) in May. Fitted with blinkers for the first time today.
Signs of ability in four outings over hurdles and a respectable effort when 3L fourth of five over 2m at Ffos Las (soft) on his seasonal debut last month. Worth a check in the market today.
Signs of promise at big prices in three outings in novice hurdles for this yard in the spring but pulled up in May's handicap debut at Kempton (good). Returning from a seven month absence today.
Winner on the Flat in France and broke his duck over hurdles when successful over 2m at Uttoxeter (good-to-soft) in September. Probably found the ground too testing when well beaten at Chepstow (heavy) last time out.
Victorious over fences at Ludlow (2m4f, good) in October and returned to hurdles when fourth in a claiming contest last time out following a couple of non-completions over fences. Probably best watched at present.
12 race maiden and well beaten from out of the handicap on her return to handicap company on good ground over C&D at the end of last month. This looks more realistic but others look more likely winners today.
Forecasts
Cougar Kid (7/2), Yalltari (9/2), Rock And Roll King (9/2), Quiz Master (11/2), The Mad Well (8/1), Kohuma (12/1), Hill Fort (12/1), Monday Club (12/1), Soiesauvage (25/1), Go On Henry (25/1), Eastern Lady (28/1)
QUIZ MASTER put in a career best performance when placed at Fontwell last time out and he can go one better than when finishing runner-up on that occasion. .The selection shouldn't be inconvenienced by today's drop in trip and he can get the better of Monday Club who ran well on his return to hurdles last time out while the unexposed Yalltari can finish third on his handicap debut and first run of the season.
- Quiz Master
- Monday Club
- Yalltari
