Dual winner over hurdles here including on soft ground in first time cheekpieces in August. Well held on chase debut last time out but remains of interest for a stable who do well at this venue.
Career best effort when runner-up over 2m5f at Cheltenham (soft) in a handicap hurdle last month. Yard can boast a 27% strike-rate (3/11) of late and he ran respectably in October's chase debut.

Twice a winner over hurdles and finished 3L fourth off a mark of 104 in a 2m2f handicap chase at Galway (heavy) on his penultimate outing. Interesting back in a beginners contest.

Successful twice over hurdles but could finish only mid-division at Navan (soft-to-heavy) on his most recent appearance last month. Making his chase debut today.

Stepped up on chase debut effort when finishing 29L fourth of 13 at Thurles (2m2f, soft) a fortnight ago. Yet to win under rules but one to note if capable of repeating that effort today.

Fair efforts in a couple of maiden hurdles in the autumn but well beaten on handicap debut in that sphere last time out and quickly switched to fences.

Placed in a point-to-point and a maiden hurdle so far but disappointed at Kilbeggan (good) last time out. Best form has come on the heavy ground forecast today and he represents a leading yard on chase debut.

Victorious twice over hurdles most recently on heavy ground at Limerick (2m3f) in March last year. Fair efforts over fences the last twice but vulnerable to less exposed rivals.

40/1
Point-to-point winner on soft-to-heavy ground in October and pulled up in a hunter chase subsequently. Well held in a beginners chase last time out and others make more appeal.
10
Horse silk
33/1
Point-to-point winner on soft ground at Durrow in March. Failed to rouble the judge in five hurdles outings since and probably best watched on chase debut.

14/1
Twice a winner at Clonmel earlier this year but struggled in the main since going handicapping over hurdles. Well beaten in a Listed mares contest on her sole chase start to date. Wears cheekpieces for the first time today.
Winner of a Downpatrick handicap hurdle on good ground over 2m6f from 18 rules outings to date. Well held on chase debut at Thurles last time out and others have a more obvious chance today.
13
Horse silk
33/1
Point-to-point winner on yielding-to-soft ground in April last year. Ran well when beaten a neck off a mark of 85 at Limerick (2m6f, soft) over hurdles in April but well beaten in both outings over fences this term.

Forecasts

Ardera Cross (4/1), Glencairn View (4/1), Charlie's Charm (9/2), Tongie (11/2), Soul Kaliber (8/1), Matin D'anjou (10/1), Nicat's Benefit (14/1), Peculiar Genius (14/1), Coolbane West (16/1), Dixie Highway (25/1), Quelle Belle Vie (33/1), Whats In It For Me (33/1), Hexapod (33/1), Absainte (40/1)

Verdict

ARDERA CROSS took the maiden hurdle on this card last year and he can put a disappointing chase debut last time out behind him by taking this beginners chase. The selection has run well on all five previous starts at this venue and can see off Glencairn View, who finished fourth in what looks a better race than this last time out. Soul Kaliber represents leading connections today and can finish third on chasing debut.
