2-2 over C&D and was given a great ride to get up close home here last time. Only 3lb higher and impossible to rule out.
14-race maiden who appeared not to stay this far on penultimate start. Had a lot of use made of him that day and tactics may be different here. Drops significantly in grade and worthy of a market check.
Nine-race maiden who is yet to fully convince over this trip and needs to find plenty of improvement in order to get involved in this.
Had a lot of use made of him to overcome a poor draw last time and that told in the closing stages. Now 3lb better off with Music Major with 1L to find and better positioned here. Has dropped below his last winning mark and good claimer is on board.
Winner on turf here during the summer and beaten in better races than this since. Blew his chance at the start last time and looks high enough in the weights at present.
Has won twice here previously and was a good third to a handicap good thing three starts ago. Definite claims in a race as weak as this.
Won for the first time in almost two years when gaining a seventh AW success at Chelmsford. Had the run of the race that day and off almost three months since. Will find this tougher off 4lb higher.
Record is an unappealing 2-31 but he is in good form currently. Drops back in trip after three solid efforts over 1m4f and that may count against him off this higher mark.
Capable performer at her best, but it's thirteen races since she last won. A heavily reduced handicap mark has not been able to spark a revival and she has plenty to prove for the time being.
Seven-race maiden who has been well beaten on his last three completed starts. Hard to recommend despite a tumbling mark.
Has an impressive 10-66 record but the last of those came in March 2015. Has done little lately to suggest he is ready to reverse the trend.
Shaped as though needing this trip last time when staying on from a wide draw at Chelmsford over a mile. Has a lot to find though here from 4lb out of the weights.
Forecasts
Bayston Hill (5/2), Cadeaux Boxer (4/1), Music Major (5/1), Unit of Assessment (7/1), Betsalottie (8/1), The Gay Cavalier (8/1), Estibdaad (12/1), Rakematiz (14/1), Banta Bay (16/1), Exspectation (33/1), Solveig's Song (33/1), The Dancing Lord (50/1)
Music Major and Bayston Hill locked horns here last time with the former coming out on top. The placings could be reserved now that Bayston Hill has a pull in the weights and a better draw. Betsalottie is in excellent form but the shorter trip is a concern, whilst Cadeaux Boxer is worthy of a market check for a trainer/rider combination that almost landed a gamble here on Tuesday. The front-running Estibdaad made all to score last time but this looks tougher and he may set the race up nicely for THE GAY CAVALIER who likes this track and is suited to a good gallop. John Ryan's charge is 8lb lower than when scoring over C&D in June and he goes well for this young rider.
- The Gay Cavalier
- Bayston Hill
- Music Major
