Pops up now and again and did so for the last time over this trip at Chepstow in May. Has found one too good on three occasions since, twice at Wolverhampton, a track he appears to favour. Can still be competitive from this mark.
0-5 on AW so far, all three wins having been on turf. First try at this venue, her best effort away from grass being a 1L fifth at Wolverhampton (7f) 13 months ago. Can make stronger cases for several others.
It's two-and-a-half years since his last win and the handicapper took some time to relent. Best AW form has been at Wolverhampton and Kempton, though he wasn't beaten far on only try here. On a handy mark on his best form and not ruled out.
Won his maiden here over C&D and followed up on handicap debut at Wolverhampton, both in the spring of last year, but been unable to add to that. Has gone close three times from similar marks to today's just lately and should be thereabouts again.
1-30 so far, the win being on turf at Windsor in October (6f, good to soft). Went very close here last time over C&D, for which she has been nudged up 1lb and if she can overcome wide draw she has claims again.
Has improved a few pounds in 2017, winning three times including in a similar C&D contest last time out, when short-heading Arcanista. 1lb worse off today but is better drawn than that opponent, so can again go well after 2lb rise.
Consistent performer at this level and went close in one of his only two starts at this venue. Sole AW win was at Wolverhampton, but back on same mark from which he won at Brighton in June he could be heavily involved again.
Not easy to win with (1-30 on AW and 2-49 overall) and having been placed so often, has been frustrating for followers. Scored over this trip at Chelmsford in October from 2lb lower but likelihood is that he will find one or two too good.
Has shown little so far in maidens and handicaps on turf and now tries the All Weather. Not much encouragement on that front in her pedigree and with the stable also quiet enough, she looks best watched again.
Well beaten in three AW maidens (including here on debut) earlier in the year and never in it in three turf handicaps since then. Last of seven, beaten 9L when last seen at Goodwood in May and tough to make any sort of case for him.
Forecasts
Wild Flower (3/1), Gold Club (4/1), Kyllukey (4/1), Indian Affair (5/1), Strictly Carter (6/1), Arcanista (8/1), Everkyllachy (20/1), Justice Rock (20/1), Delahay (50/1), Taurean Gold (100/1)
Low grade stuff here and the suggestion is GOLD CLUB, who has been sliding to this handy mark recently and ran well on his only start at the track. In-form Wild Flower and Arcanista should both be thereabouts again, while the same applies to Kyllukey and Strictly Carter. Justice Rock has a poor draw to overcome, but if he can do so then prize money is not ruled out, while Indian Affair is also capable of being competitive.
- Gold Club
- Kyllukey
- Strictly Carter
