Unable to win over hurdles but absolutely bolted up on his chasing debut when he jumped fantastically at Chepstow last month despite being heavily eased. This step up in trip should suit him well and is still respected even now 15lb higher.

4/1
Been hunter chasing in last couple of seasons and last win in a hunter over course and distance in 2016. Hard to gauge ability for current handicap mark but decision to put up 7lb claimer may explain yards opinion.

Get On The Yager23
Age: 7|  Weight: 11-6| J: Harry Skelton| T: D Skelton| OR:  128| BF
6/1
Three time hurdle winner but disappointment in both chase starts this term as favourite. Significantly lower mark over fences makes him of interest and stepped up dramatically in trip today so could see much improved run.

Leo Lunap370
Age: 8|  Weight: 11-2| J: J E Moore| T: G & J Moore| OR:  124| CD
9/2
Four time chase winner who was second in this race a year ago but hasn't been seen since. 3lb lower this time round so could go well if he's ready after the long layoff.

Both career wins come here although both over shorter distances. Seemed to stay 3m3f when last here but lost his way since. Now back to last winning mark so if this course reinvigorates him he could go close.

Howlongisafoot21
Age: 8|  Weight: 10-3| J: David Noonan| T: C Gordon| OR:  111
10/1
Back to same mark as his last win at Stratford back in March now as a result of three below par runs this term. Never won at 3m or beyond so this trip as recent form is a question mark.

Forecasts

Ramses De Teillee (6/4), Mendip Express (4/1), Leo Luna (9/2), Get On The Yager (6/1), Fergal Mael Duin (8/1), Howlongisafoot (10/1)

Verdict

RAMSES DE TEILLEE looked a chaser of considerable potential when absolutely hacking up at Chepstow and his jumping for a novice was quite exceptional. He can handle this much higher mark today. Get On The Yager is yet to show his smart hurdles form since switched to chasing but he has time on his side and this longer trip could be more suitable. Fergal Mael Duin has shown a liking for this course in the past so could go well off his last winning handicap mark.
