Point-to-point winner by 6L in April. Makes his debut under rules here and should run well after impressing on that occasion.
Unseated rider at the first on debut in a maiden hurdle at this course last month. Sent off 100/1 that day and no surprise to see a similar price for him this time round.
Milan gelding who cost €21,000 as a three-year-old. Fair pedigree, and her dam won a race of this distance over hurdles.

Horse silk
5/1
Not beaten far on his only previous start when finishing second at Down Royal last month. Wouldn't need to improve on that much, if at all, to at least hit the frame again.

Over 8L behind Hollowgraphic on his only start to date over C&D; difficult to see him reversing that form even with the assistance of a top amateur in the saddle for the first time.
Beaten only a neck on his sole start so far. That was in April but he holds leading claims if repeating that level of form after a break (winner has placed in a Graded hurdle since).
€10,000 purchase as a three-year-old. Some winning form in his pedigree, including bumpers, but still has one of the less appealing profiles out of the newcomers.
Presenting gelding who cost €78,000 as a three-year-old and is a half-brother to a couple of useful winners. One of the more appealing newcomers.
Point-to-point winner who finished fourth on rules debut at Down Royal last time. May improve for further in time and has 12L to find with Dunvegan (second) from that previous start.
Related to a few winners on the Flat but pedigree not as appealing for jumps including bumpers; best watched on debut.
Not disgraced when finishing fourth in a bumper at this course at November, and open to plenty of progress for some top connections.
Aristotle gelding who makes his debut here. Dam related to a few point-to-point winners but not much in the pedigree to encourage enthusiasm for this kind of challenge.

Forecasts

Hollowgraphic (2/1), Dunvegan (5/1), Punches Cross (6/1), Not Many Left (13/2), Active Force (7/1), Moratorium (8/1), Fortune Street (14/1), Dumhach Thra (20/1), Life Isfor Living (25/1), Pike County (33/1), Teddy's Acre (33/1), Avec Espoir (50/1)

Verdict

A few of these have been beaten only narrowly in bumpers already, including HOLLOWGRAPHIC. Representing one of the very top trainers in Willie Mullins, this gelding was beaten only by a neck on debut, and the horse who won that race has gone on to place at Grade 2 level. This looks a good opportunity for the selection to get off the mark in what should be an easier race. Dunvegan is another previous bumper runner-up who can go well, in addition to point-to-point winner Active Force.
  1. Hollowgraphic
  2. Dunvegan
  3. Active Force
