Modest 53-rated Flat handicapper well beaten on all career starts. Will need to improve on hurdling debut to play a role here.
Not progressed or performed as expected in two maiden hurdle starts at Fairyhouse and last time out at Gowran Park. Looks a tall order on form shown.

33/1
64-rated handicapper on the Flat in the UK for Mick Channon and disappointed on hurdling debut in a Gowran Park maiden over 2m. Others preferred.

Shaping like a long-term prospect for the trainer suffering heavy defeats on his first two maiden hurdles. Another torrid effort looks on the cards here.
Four second-rate performances in hurdling career so far failing to fire at Cork, Killarney and being pulled-up at Listowel before a 56L defeat at Thurles in October. Others make more appeal.
Towards the rear and never involved on hurdling and yard debut beaten 56L in a Fairyhouse maiden hurdle. Vast improvement needed to figure.
Fourth of 11 on only start for Aiden O'Brien in the 2016 season and not fluent before looking one-paced on hurdling debut when beaten 31L at Punchestown last month. Market likely to reveal expectations.

Finished up a 78-rated handicapper on the Flat for trainer-Richard Hannon in a 14-race two season career. Market sure to be the best guide here on debut for powerful owner/trainer combination.

Makes debut for new connections following a move from the stable of Sylvester Kirk in October. Worth a market check.
In rear of mid-division on debut in a Gowran Park maiden hurdle last month making no impression throughout the contest. Very little to be positive about.

Thewayyouare gelding was acquired for small money and hasn't hinted in three starts on the Flat that he'll be repaying that faith in prize money soon. May find this tough on hurdling debut.

Ran well on debut to finish second of 11 beaten ½L behind Foxy Lass in a Ballinrobe 3-Y-O maiden hurdle in September over 2m½f. Shaped like more improvement would be on the cards.

Five race modest 50-rated handicapper on the Flat and will have to improve a chunk to play a role here on hurdling debut.

Given an over-rated mark of 74 on the Flat before slipping down to a modest 68 and will need to improve significantly to figure.
87-rated handicapper on the Flat which may have been flattering. Well beaten 37L on hurdling debut at Gowran Park despite the figure 4 beside her name. Will need to improve here.

Horse silk
33/1
Below-par on the Flat possibly needed the run on hurdling debut when 11th of 18 in a Thurles maiden in October. May struggle in this company.

Horse silk

Won twice but was generally average for John Oxx and was subsequently beaten 130L on hurdling and stable debut last month at Gowran Park. Others preferred.
Five-race maiden on the Flat well beaten on all starts. Market likely to be the best guide to her chances on hurdling debut.

Elusive Pimpernel filly who showed precious little in the way of any ability in three starts on the Flat before turning out over hurdles when well beaten on two occasions in September.
Modest 85-rated handicapper on the Flat well beaten last time out in October 44L behind the winner Synopsis at Navan for the John Oxx stable. Best watched on debut for new connections.

Verdict

Tricky contest to start proceedings with possibly Ingleby Mackenzie, Upgraded and Pete So High showing plenty of dash reminiscent of their Flat days in the early stages of this contest. Azua Emery is likely to be a warm order here with plenty of market support for the Noel Meade-trained Vision D'Ete and both sure to run their races but, if up with the early pace, preference will be for PETE SO HIGH.
  1. Pete So High
  2. Azua Emery
  3. Vision D'ete
