Intello colt, and the second foal of a Listed-placed mare. Represents a top yard but doesn't have the most obvious pedigree to make a winning debut.

Made his debut over a furlong further at this course last month; drop in trip could help bring about some improvement but still has a bit to prove.

Teofilo newcomer whose dam was placed at Listed level over 7f. Despite that, his pedigree suggests he may be better over further in time, though he can still put in a bold showing here on debut.

Yet to beat a horse home in two starts (beaten 31L and 25L); very difficult to see him improving much on that now stepping back up in trip.

11/4
Invincible Spirit colt who cost €500,000 as a yearling and is a brother to Prestige Stakes runner-up Promising. Has the pedigree to close on on this first racecourse appearance.
Al Kazeem colt, who is the first foal of a fair winner over 1m. The market should provide the best clue as to his chances on debut.
Kitten's Joy newcomer, a brother to US Grade 3 runner-up Sapphire Kitten. Has been gelded ahead of this first run.
Cityscape filly, who will in all likelihood be better over further in time but has a fair pedigree and could get in the mix on debut.
Champs Elysees filly who makes her debut here for a trainer with a fair record with juveniles including first time out. Not the worst pedigree and could be one for the shortlist.

Forecasts

Cross Counter (5/2), Kaser (11/4), Antonian (7/2), Barbara Villiers (8/1), Kolo Tamam (8/1), Bill Cody (16/1), Roundabout Kitten (16/1), Approaching Menace (16/1), Essendon (50/1)

Verdict

A difficult puzzle to solve with so many newcomers, but perhaps KASER can make a winning debut. It's been well-documented that Saeed bin Suroor hasn't enjoyed his best year with two-year-olds, but this son of Invincible Spirit looks a nice type on paper and his €500,000 price-tag as a yearling is not to be taken lightly. Cross Counter will probably appreciate further than this in time but is taken to make it a 1-2 of Godolphin newcomers, while Antonian represents another interesting newcomer, with John Gosden having a track record of introducing nice horses in AW events.
