Unseated rider on debut and seemingly well fancied and held chances in a voided contest subsequently. Worth a check in the market on debut under rules.
Finished a well beaten last of ten in a Wincanton (soft) bumper on debut last month. Others make more appeal in this contest.
Debut winner when the only horse to complete in a point-to-point at Horse & Jockey (yielding-to-soft) in March. Purchased for £62,000 subsequently and is an interesting runner on his rules debut.
Unraced gelded son of Doyen purchased for €25,000 in June last year. Half-brother to a couple of placed horses and wears a tongue tie on debut.
Finished runner-up on the second of two point-to-point starts in Ireland last winter. Purchased for £13,000 subsequently and market support would be interesting on rules debut.
Finished well beaten in a bumper over C&D on soft ground when making his debut last month. Others have a more obvious chance today.
Well held when making her debut in a Huntingdon (good-to-soft) bumper in February. Needs to step up markedly on that if she's to take this contest.
Unraced daughter of Dr Massini and a half-sister to a multiple winning point-to-pointer. Worth a check in the market on her racecourse debut.
Unraced Curtain Filly cost just €2,500 at the sales in August last year. Half-sister to hurdles placed Angus House but probably best watched on racecourse debut.
Forecasts
Mzuzu (5/2), Needs Further (6/1), The Cannister Man (6/1), Massini's Vision (8/1), Dramatic Pause (20/1), Turbotim (33/1), R Bren (100/1), Her Dream (100/1), Indigo Stamp (200/1)
MZUZU can follow up his point-to-point victory earlier this year by making a winning debut under rules in the concluding bumper. The selection justified odds-on favouritism on that occasion and is taken to get the better of fellow point-to-point winner Blue Flight who should appreciate today's underfoot conditions while Dramatic Pause can claim third on his rules debut.
- Mzuzu
- Blue Flight
- Dramatic Pause
