Wheeled out quickly after a solid win here last week, leading late on and pulling away to win with a bit in hand. No problem with the penalty but best form ar shorter, and two efforts at this trip inconclusive.

Have to go back to May 2015 to find the last time he won one, but he has gone close recently, notably when just failing to get up at Kempton two starts back. That was over a mile though, and efforts at this trip have been less encouraging.

A regular on the all-weather and wins in his turn, and that came around at Dundalk in July when a winner over a mile. Handicapper has looked in charge since then though, and although likely to run his race, a surprise if something isn't too good.

Would pick this lot up on the best of his form (for Saeed Bin Suroor) but it's been mainly downhill for a while now, although latest second (in a claimer) a step back in the right direction. Needs more here but not totally discounted.

On the plus side, is 1-1 at the track, that win coming over 6f here back in 2015 but hasn't really got going on two starts back from an absence lately. May strip fitter now and this step up in trip worth a try. One of the more interesting ones.

Has bounced back to form on last two starts at Newcastle, narrowly denied then making amends with a comfortable victory over a mile last time. Worry is that he seems best at a mile, with previous efforts at this trip producing mixed results.

Looking nicely handicapped on best form and is a C&D winner from last March, so has some positives, and looked on the way back to form with a never-nearer seventh at Wolverhampton last time. Drops back in trip here and looks a player.

Sprang a 22/1 surprise on debut when proving too good for his none rivals over a similar trip at Wolverhampton, and clearly respected on that, but a few there didn't run their races and the time was moderate. Obvious chance but others preferred.

Running well without winning this autumn/winter and again went close at Newcastle (over this trip) last time out, only just denied. 2lb rise for that makes it a bit harder but more likely to run his race than some, and should be thereabouts again.

Likes this C&D (record 3124) and nothing wrong with his mark based on easy win at Newcastle back in February, but latest couple of efforts suggest he's gone off the boil. Needs to bounce back now and others look more likely.

Twice a winner over this C&D in September, so conditions absolutely ideal, but latest poor effort rather gave the impression the handicapper has hold of him now. Return to the sand may help, but may need this after short break. Best watched.

Looks on the upgrade after a couple of solid efforts on the sand, and came good (in lower grade) over this trip at Kempton last time. Raised in grade and in the weights means he needs more, but may get own way in front and not ruled out.

Had looked to be going nowhere quickly until winning at Newcastle latest start, and was sold for £28,000 not long after. May have more to come, as he remains unexposed on the all-weather, and has to be on the shortlist here.

Forecasts

Breanski (4/1), Peace And Plenty (5/1), The Eagle's Nest (13/2), Andok (7/1), Ice Royal (8/1), Waarif (12/1), Al Kout (12/1), Eltezam (14/1), Wimpole Hall (14/1), Tha'ir (14/1), Tangramm (16/1), Ourmullion (16/1), Vogueatti (16/1)

Verdict

No shortage of pace on here, and with that, a chance is taken on TANGRAMM getting back on the scoresheet. He has some moderate looking form figures but he hasn't been running as badly as they make out, and he might be able to throw down a challenge very late in the day. The two three year olds at the foot of the handicap both command plenty of respect, with Peace And Plenty just preferred to The Eagle's Nest.
  1. Tangramm
  2. Peace And Plenty
  3. The Eagle's Nest
