Cheap buy at £6,000 but related to the useful miler Endless Drama and a couple of winners in France at 7f-1m. Hails from a yard that are not associated for having winning debutants and who also saddle Narjes.
Showed promise on his first three starts which appeared to indicate he needed middle-distances. Has failed to stay on his last two starts and reverts back to a mile. Clearly a player in this grade of company.
Related to three winners and clear signs of ability on debut in April. Pulled up the following month and off the track since. Likely to need the run unless the market indicates otherwise.
Has the pedigree but not the ability to match. Actually finished ahead of a couple rivals last time, but still finished well beaten.
200,000 gns son of Invincible Spirit and half-brother to two winning milers. Represents a leading yard and the jockey booking is intriguing. The market ought to be informative.
420,000 gns son of Oasis Dream out of a mare who won three Listed races. Attracted a bit of late support on debut but looked green and had to be rousted along from a long way out. It would be hoped he is better than that run suggested.
Has looked modest thus far and reverts to a mile having failed to stay 1m2f in an uncompetitive race last time. Cheekpieces are tried and others look more reliable.
Moderate maiden who was well beaten in a handicap n latest start off a mark of 45. Meets more talented horses here and and another struggle is on the cards.
Finished mid-division on debut at Yarmouth in June and off the track since. Ran better than her SP and pedigree suggested she would. Should need further than this and handicapping looks a more likely route in time.
Unlucky to have been trapped out wide on her last two starts for James Fanshawe. Wears a hood and has been beaten in three tight finishes, but there appears little wrong with her attitude. Has a good draw, strong handling and a lack of competition.
Makes little appeal on pedigree and form. Tailed off last on both starts here at triple digit odds.
Forecasts
Mordin (1/2), Narjes (11/4), Deliberator (7/1), Sanam (10/1), Wannabe Like You (12/1), Ginger Lady (50/1), I'm Right On Time (50/1), Napoleon (50/1), Annabella (100/1), Moorea (100/1), Watar Day (100/1)
Simon Crisford's newcomer Mordin holds the key to this uncompetitive event. The expensive son of Invincible Spirit would not have to be anything out of the ordinary to land this and so a market move would have to be heeded. NARJES looks the logical choice based on three narrow defeats which show she is more than good enough to land a race as modest as this. She is better drawn than on recent starts and can make a winning debut for her new connections. Deliberator will appreciate the return to a mile, whilst another expensive purchase, Sanam, should improve for his recent debut.
