Only victory so far came on the AW at Kempton (6f) in April. Best effort since came when runner-up over an extended 5f at Bath in September but two moderate efforts have followed. First run for a new yard.
Has plummeted in the weights following a string of poor efforts. Now 13lb below his last winning mark from 18 months ago but very hard to fancy on his first run for a new yard after over six months on the sidelines.
Sole victory came over an extended 7f at Ffos Las (good) as a two-year-old. Signs of a revival for this yard and not disgraced when a 3L fourth over a longer trip here last month. Worth a look with cheekpieces introduced.
Rarely disgraced but a strike-rate of just one win from 31 starts tells its own story. Good effort to finish a close up third over 1m at Newcastle last time out and likely to be in the mix if in a similar mood.
Sole win from 22 starts came over C&D back in May from a 1lb higher mark. Clearly respected on that form but could only manage a well beaten fourth of 14 at Kempton last time out.
Claimed out of Julia Feilden's yard after winning a 1m2f claimer in February and hasn't really shone for new connections, including on debut for this yard here last month. Still a threat on best form, though outside draw not ideal.
Sent off 100/1 or bigger in three 7f maidens for Alistair Whillans last autumn, showing little to enthuse about. Reappears after 13 months on the sidelines to make a handicap debut for a new yard. Watch the market.
Bits and pieces of juvenile promise but was beginning to look regressive prior to finding improvement to finish fourth of 16 over 1m at Chelmsford last month. May have more to offer, place prospects.
Not knocked about in three maidens and shaped better than the bare result suggests when sixth on his handicap debut at Nottingham last month. Likely there is more to come and very much respected on his AW debut.
Still a maiden after 12 start, though did go close in a couple of efforts over this C&D in the summer. Hasn't quite delivered over 1m4f of late but mark has plummeted and commands respect dropping back in trip.
Dual course winner, though never over a trip this far, and has gone off the boil since winning twice on the AW earlier in the year. No forlorn hope at best, though questions to answer right now.
Not easy to win with and out of sorts since scoring at over 1m at Lingfield in March prior to finishing a never-nearer third at Kempton last time out. Could make her presence felt with a similar effort.
Took advantage off a falling mark to finally oblige at the 12th attempt when winning a 7f handicap at Newcastle last month, keeping on well. More to do off a 3lb higher mark in a better race.
Forecasts
Lozah (5/1), Big Bad Lol (11/2), Peak Hill (6/1), Pitch High (7/1), Sugar Beach (8/1), Caribbean Spring (10/1), Fleeting Glimpse (10/1), Ixelles Diamond (12/1), Critical Thinking (12/1), Shamlan (14/1), Life Of Luxury (14/1), Living Leader (20/1), Shackles (20/1)
Competitive stuff featuring some hard-to-win-with types and the angle into the race could be taking the largely unexposed BIG BAD LOL to exploit a potentially favourable mark, having shaped with more encouragement than his bare form suggests. Lozah, Peak Hill and Sugar Beach each showed enough last time out to enter calculations, whilst Life of Luxury could offer some each-way value dropping back in distance.
- Big Bad Lol
- Life Of Luxury
- Peak Hill
