Only once a victor on the AW from 15 attempts but usually found competing in a better grade than this. Has now dropped back to the mark he won off at Sandown (1m2f) in May and should go well under a promising apprentice.
Previous C&D winner who scored off a 2lb higher mark at Newcastle (1m2f) in the summer but has been largely out of sorts since. Beaten 8L at Newcastle last time out but this is a lesser grade.
Multiple course winner in his younger days who ended a long losing run when scoring over 1m here in September from a 4lb lower mark. A runner-up twice since, including over this trip at Chelmsford, and should again be competitive.
Formerly with Mick Channon, he won a Salisbury maiden (7f, good to firm) last year but has rarely looked like adding to his tally in handicaps up to 1m. Interesting to see new yard step him up in trip.
Twice a winner for Henry Candy on turf, including over this trip, but 10 runs without a win for this yard. That said, she did go desperately close on the AW at Newcastle two runs ago and is a threat on that form.
Both AW wins came at Lingfield and he put a few moderate efforts behind him when going close over 1m2f there last time out from a 2lb lower mark. First visit here and work to do from an outside pitch.
Multiple C&D winner but evidently not the force of old judged on a lengthy losing run for a few different yards. Mark is falling all the time though, so dangerous to dismiss completely.
Has won off much higher mark than this but arrives here on a long losing run after an underwhelming run at Chelmsford on Friday. Often slowly away which can compromise his chance, others appeal more.

A competitive opener in which a credible case could be made out for Archipeligo, Jack of Diamonds and Perceived on best form. It will be interesting to see how Tigerwolf fares over a longer trip for a new yard but, all things considered, this looks a good opportunity for BOYCIE to regain the winning thread under Rossa Ryan considering his last appearance in a Class 5 was a winning one.
