French Flat winner (up to 1m5f), but hasn't made the cut over hurdles as of yet; albeit showing slightly more promise at Uttoxeter latest (2m good).
Kalanisi mare who is a point-to-point winner, and kept fairly decent company on her hurdles/stable debut at Newbury in mid October (2m3f+ good to soft). That said, she needs to show much more over a shorter trip today.
Beaten 8L when a runner up at Chepstow in March (2m soft), and fairly productive on the Flat in the main since. Back over hurdles at Plumpton latest (fourth), and whilst not overly appealing should make the frame.
Mare with a puzzling profile having not raced on the Flat since March 2015 (appeared very moderate). Has had a go in a point-to-point (pulled up), but looks a likely back number on hurdles bow.
Cost £11,000 in March after scoring in a 3m point-to-point at Borris House (heavy) the previous month. Raced keenly, weakened and tailed off when pulled up here last week in a race won by Naranja (2m3f+).
Stayed on well to score by 8L when taking a 2m mares bumper at Uttoxeter in June (good to soft), but was unable to cope with the hefty hike in grade at Cheltenham last month. Much respected on hurdles bow.
Showed some signs of ability in soft ground bumpers (third at Bangor in December 2016). Beaten 16¼L when fourth of 15 to Waiheke on hurdles debut at Exeter last month (2m2f+ soft). Possibilities for a place.
Not shown much in either of her two starts over hurdles at Plumpton (2m), and looks safely ignored on the strength of those efforts.
1m Flat winner in July for David O'Meara (seller). Made a winning hurdles/stable debut at Cartmel in June (2m1f good to soft), and has done just about as well as could be expected in three starts since. Receives weight as a juvenile.
Forecasts
Glorvina (7/4), Rose Of Cimarron (2/1), Multigifted (5/1), Royal Claret (8/1), Sunday In The Park (12/1), Kalahari Queen (25/1), Deduce (25/1), Poppy Hill (25/1), Pearl Of Phoenix (33/1)
A very moderate contest in which the Cartmel winner Glorvina has fair claims in receipt of weight from her elder rivals, but she's probably not the most convincing horse in the world, and it's debatable as to how much she has to offer over hurdles (and over 2m). Therefore, with fellow Flat winner Multigifted likely to make the frame, but perhaps also not the most exciting mare for a novice hurdle campaign, a chance is taken on the Uttoxeter bumper scorer ROSE OF CIMARRON. She makes her hurdles debut in a realistic contest after finding a Listed bumper at the Cheltenham November meeting far too competitive.
- Rose Of Cimarron
- Multigifted
- Glorvina
