Was a consistent performer over hurdles and got due reward for that when winning at Sedgefield (2m1f, good) in April. Competitive off this mark in final two starts last term, fell at the first in last month's chase bow at Sedgefield.
Lightly-raced and showing some modest signs of progress in novice hurdles despite going off big prices. First start in handicap company now and worth monitoring in betting.
Landed back-to-back handicaps in this grade at Plumpton and Warwick in the spring (latest off 105), struggled in higher grade final two runs last term but worthy of a second look on return dropped in grade again with claimer taking 7lb off.
Lightly-raced sort, off the mark second hurdles start in maiden at Market Rasen in October. Jumping error cost him his chance on handicap debut at Warwick but capable of putting that behind him.
Useful on the Flat (peak rating 92) and fair effort when 4½L third in three-runner Market Rasen novices' hurdle in June on second start over jumps. Off since but could build on that now going in first handicap and bears close attention.
Glimpses of promise in pair of juvenile hurdles around 2m early in the year, too keen for his own good at Wincanton on return to action and has plenty to work on for now.
90-rated stayer on the Flat at best, useful fourth of 14 on handicap hurdle debut at Fakenham last month and holds claims in this as such, though suspicion lurks that he'll want a longer trip to be at his best.
Much-improved since coming back from summer break, going close at Uttoxeter and then winning at Southwell last time. All out to hang on but front pair well clear, could have more to say despite 4lb hike.
Winner over this sort of trip at Stratford in April off this mark. Positives since have been light and comes here on the back of poor show at Taunton. Visor on first-time and must bounce back to form.
Forecasts
Generous Day (3/1), Crackdeloust (4/1), Pasaka Boy (9/2), Wind Place And Sho (6/1), Zen Master (15/2), Catchin Time (8/1), Oregon Gold (14/1), Elysian Prince (14/1), Balgemmois (20/1)
GENEROUS DAY has returned from his summer break with a real spike in his form and duly got off the mark on his second start back at Southwell, having also gone close at Uttoxeter. He battled hard to hold on for his win last time and, while raised 4lb, the front pair were well clear and with every chance he can improve, he is entitled to go very close in this. Catchin Time is worth a market check back in the grade he scored a double in the spring while Zen Master can get involved if his jumping holds up. Ex-Flat performers Pasaka Boy and Wind Place And Sho look capable of winning races in this sphere.
- Generous Day
- Zen Master
- Pasaka Boy
