Finished last in both previous starts and seemingly has a bit of a mountain to climb just now. First start for a new yard, which has been also very quiet lately.
Pulled up once and finished last in two other outings in bumpers, so not too difficult to suggest that others are more likely winners.. May do better when upped in trip over hurdles or even fences.
Better effort at Cork last time out when fourth of eight in a mares only bumper. Previous form doesn't make for great reading, though, and she's another that is likely going to have wait for another day.
Shown promise on a couple of occasions but reverts to a bumper after making very little impact over hurdles at Thurles in October. best watched.
Finished seventh of eleven on debut at Clonmel in September and, while she's open to impropvement, that form (winner aside) has taken a few knocks, so she has a bit of improvement to find.
A sister to bumper winner Arbor Des Champ, out of a half-sister to useful Flat performer, Noble Alan., so a case can be stated on pedigree. Yard not really noted for first time up winners and likely safest to just take a few notes this time.
Eighth of 18 on debut in a much better race than this at Aintree in October and, being by Beat Hollow - an influence for speed at this level - she has a likelable pedigree for a bumper. One of the more likely winners.
A cheap purchase but is bred to get a trip in time and looks very much a long-term prospect. Form of the yard's runners no so great just at present.
Related to hurdler Stormy Oscar and bumper winner So Oscar, the gelding ran a blinder on debut at Ballinrobe in August. Softer ground conditions expected this time but interesting to see if the betting market suggests she's thrived since last seen.
Yard always respected in these races and this nicely-bred filly is no exception. She posted an improved effort to finish fourth of 15 at Punchestown last time - an effort which gives her solid place claims at least here.
Forecasts
Motown Girl (11/10), Minnies Secret (7/2), Turanga Lilly (5/1), Hollow Crest (6/1), Last One (16/1), Knockraha Pride (16/1), Champagne Nova (25/1), Our Ella Bella (33/1), Choice Of Diamonds (50/1), Annie Mae's Vision (50/1)
This could go to HOLLOW CREST if she shows just a modicum of progression since she made her debut at higher level at Aintree a couple of months ago. The filly appeals on pedigree and could have a bit too much toe for the rest. Motown Girl and Turanga Lilly stand out as the best alternatives on this occasion - the former being the less exposed edging the nomination as the biggest threat to the selection.
- Hollow Crest
- Motown Girl
- Turanga Lilly
