Not set the world alight since joining his current yard but not too much to find to get competitive at this level. Possible the drop in trip will suit, so worth a betting check.
Barring a modest effort last time out, had made good progress since leaving the point-to-point scene. better judged on his penultimate effort when third at Tipperary and decent place claims on that piece of form.
Back near a winning mark but latest effort was way below his best and comes here with a bit to prove. The drop is trip is in his favour though.
Winnwer of 3m point-to-point but has proved to be better suited to this sort of trip since stepping into the professional ranks. Mores required on recent form though.
Comes here on the back of four poor efforts and difficult to see him stopping the rot just now. Best watched.
Respectable effort over 2m4f here last time out but may not be ideally suited by dropping back to this sort of distance (not so effective over the minimum trip before now). A strong pace may bring his stamina into play but risks attached.
Sound enough performance when mid division in a race (at Naas) that may well produce a few winners, and sound claims if using that as a platform. One to note in the betting.
Developing a bit of a losing habit and, with just one modest effort to her name since June, the filly looks opposable for the time being.
Back over hurdles after finishing a well held fourth on AW at Dundalk earlier this month. Needs to improve but has bits and bobs of form to suggest she may do better now handicapping in this sphere, so worth a betting check.
Comes here after a sound effort in defeat at Fairyhouse at the start of November and has to come into the reckoning on that evidence. That was her best effort over hurdles by some way and she may have been found a decent chance to build on it here.
Probably in need of the run last time and likely to also have been stretched to the limit by the trip. Should have benefited from the run and drops to a more appropriate distance, so interesting if he attracts support this time.
Fit from the Flat and made a smooth if unspectacular switch back to hurdling last time out. Needs to find a bit more but should run his race and capable of pick off any stragglers to nick a place in the frame.
In fair form without winning but has the ability to figure in this company. Has a bit to find with Emily Square on the Fairyhouse form but still dangerous to dismiss with ground conditions likely to suit.
Still lightly raced over hurdles and difficult to say where he'd have finished had he not fallen here last time. Risks attached but no surprise to see him go well if unscathed from the mishap.
C&D winner on similar ground to the predicted going, so feasible the drop in trip will play to his strengths. Well handicapped if able to bounce back, so worth a betting check.
Hurdles form has been pretty poor so far and it's very difficult to make a strong case in his favour just for the time being.
Sound effort in similar company last time out but the drop in trip has to be a concern given he's never managed to be a factor over the minimum distance. A strong pace would suit but tricky to assume he'll have everything fall into his lap.
Improved effort last time out but still has a bit to find with a few of these and needs to prove that wasn't just a one-off performance. Still unexposed in handicaps, so might be one to keep tabs on from here.
First reserve: Likely to have come on for the run after his recent reappearance but more still needed.
Second reserve: Form doesn't amount to much so far and very stiff test even of he gets a run.
Third reserve: 12 race maiden and easy to oppose even though his latest effort was his best for quite a while.
Forecasts
Emily Square (10/3), Paddy's Orient (5/1), Boudry (11/2), Killahara Castle (13/2), Banksoftheshannon (8/1), Wee Tiger (10/1), Cowboy Des Long (12/1), Punches Pious (14/1), Lets High Five It (16/1), Ard Na Carraig (20/1), Winsor Vixen (20/1), Repare Mon (20/1), Rebel Ace (20/1), Coole Craft (25/1), Urbanist (25/1), Charle Brune (33/1), Apache Gold (50/1), Pound A Stroke (66/1)
There may be mileage to be gained in giving EMILY SQUARE a chance to shine in race where she already holds a few of her rivals on recent Fairyhouse form. Killahara Castle being one those who needs to improve to get the better of the selection but is still capable making the frame with a clear round of jumping. Banksoftheshannon and Rebel Ace are others worth a check in the betting.
- Emily Square
- Killahara Castle
- Banksoftheshannon
