Winner at Hexham in heavy ground and faces an entirely different test here. Form has taken a turn for the worse and handicap mark is asking serious questions.

Two best performances have come when fresh and his response off this career high mark was disappointing last time. That was over 2m3f and this shorter trip may be more his forte.

Has completed a hat-trick under this rider during the summer. Has continued to defy the handicapper and the form of her latest effort looks good enough for her to potentially do so again.

A Ffos Las third is his best effort over hurdle, but it is one that leaves him a few pounds short on his handicap debut.

Picked up an amateur's race in the spring but, like many from the yard, he has struggled to produce his best since.

Won a couple of times for Dan Skelton last season but well beaten on both starts for new stable.

Started well for this yard in the summer with a win and a second in August but struggled with higher marks since. Quicker ground and a more reasonable mark are reasons to be optimistic.

Won over course and distance in January to complete a quick double. Handicapper seems to have his measure since and little evidence of an imminent return to form last time.

Potential improver now handicapping and these conditions looking more suitable for his Flat pedigree. Worth watching for a market move.

Yet to win a race but clearly likes this track. Unlucky to bump into a rejuvenated type last time and went down by a head off level weights to a 114 rated horse on his previous start. Hard to overlook.

Forecasts

Ambre Des Marais (6/4), Serveontime (10/3), Cabernet D'Alene (11/2), Berry De Carjac (8/1), Take A Break (14/1), Goal (16/1), Monday Club (16/1), Faheem (16/1), Mighty Missile (25/1), I'll Be Your Clown (33/1)

Verdict

Ambre Des Marais has enjoyed a good summer and may have more to offer with the form of her latest run looking solid enough. However, the weight concession to SERVEONTIME may prove beyond her. The gelding remains a maiden but he seems to like this circuit and was unlucky to bump into a horse who was well handicapped on his best form last time. His previous effort saw him go down in a photo to Dentley de Mee who has gone well in a handicap since off a mark off 114. A change of luck is overdue and this looks a good opportunity. Faheem and Berry de Carjac may improve on recent form with conditions riding faster, whilst Cabernet D'Alene may be more of a factor having found 2m3f too far last time.
