Disappointed on return from a break on seasonal debut at Thurles when possibly needing the run finishing 10th of 18 beaten 16L in a 2m handicap hurdle. One for the shortlist here.

Ask mare cost €11,000 as a three-year-old. Dam unraced half-sister to smart hurdler/useful chaser with plenty stamina. Makes debut here.

Second in a Clonmel bumper in March, but other efforts in that sphere have been disappointing and she was well held in a Cork maiden hurdle last month and at Naas earlier this month.
Has hit the frame in all four point-to-point outings and is race-fit from that sphere, no forlorn hope no starting under rule for the first time.

Half-sister to a few moderate maidens and neither her pedigree nor her overall profile inspires confidence, well held in a Naas bumper this month and makes jumping bow in this.

Daughter of Getaway out of an Oscar mare related to the likes of Big Zeb, Our Duke and Verdana Blue, inauspicious start in novice hurdle at Fairyhouse this month and best watched now.
Placed in bumpers at Down Royal and Fairyhouse last season and returned with good second in that sphere at Galway last month. Looks capable of making a mark on hurdles debut.
Court Cave filly cost €8,500 as a three-year-old and is related to multiple winners. Third in a point-to-point back in the spring and represents powerful yard in good form on rules debut, notable newcomer.

Has shown a degree of promise in trio of bumpers without looking like getting on the board, will have to improve on switch to hurdling to alter that trend.
Darsi filly was acquired cheaply and would surely be a surprise winner on debut against some potentially smart types. Watching brief seems best.

Forecasts

Ratoute Yutty (7/4), Ellie Mac (7/4), Ale Ambrosio (7/2), Flemen Majic (12/1), Crawfords Mill (16/1), Allez Kal (16/1), Askann (25/1), Le Hachette (25/1), Miz Dilleen (50/1), Three Queens (50/1)

Verdict

ALE AMBROSIO returned to action recently in a handicap at Thurles and ran well enough to suggest this return to maiden company can see her off the mark. Ratoute Yutty has run well in bumpers, including on reappearance at Galway, and could go well switched to jumping while Crawfords Mill is fit from and has run well in point-to-point and is also noted. Ellie Mac represents powerful connections and should be primed for this rules bow under Davy Russell.
  1. Ale Ambrosio
  2. Ellie Mac
  3. Ratoute Yutty
