Successful twice over fences earlier this year, capable over hurdles but hasn't been consistent prior to this break and will need to be at his best on return to score off this mark.
Runner-up in novice hurdle here (2m1f, soft) earlier this month, having gone off 100/1 poke, plenty of promise in that effort but resulted in tough opening handicap mark.
Not the most straightforward and already in the hands of his fifth trainer, pleasing start when 5L third of 13 over C&D on stable debut earlier this month, though only three finished behind him. Still has more to find.
Lightly-raced seven-year-old, made a winning start in handicaps at Huntingdon in March (2m4½f, soft) and again ran well next time at Chepstow. Entitled to have needed last month's reappearance over C&D (fourth) and could have a big say now.
Has run well all three hurdles starts this autumn, off 107, twice hitting the frame at Fontwell and Stratford over this sort of trip. Dropped 1lb now and should give her running again.
Beaten just 4L on handicap debut over 3m1f (good) at Huntingdon at the beginning of this month. Didn't always jump fluently and can appear a tough ride at times. Mark unchanged.
Hit and miss character, was more miss than hit prior to a break, having been pulled up on each of his previous three starts over fences. Yet to win over timber, figures over fences since March are 1P-1PPP. Risky proposition.
Has lost his way over fences, jumping errors contributing to being pulled up in his previous two outings. 10lb above previous hurdles win-mark and sports first-time blinkers/tongue tie now.
Was 0-16 before joining this yard and is 3-8 since, including most recent win over 2m5½f (good) here in October. Handicapper may caught up, but was set to mount a challenge again when unseating four out over C&D 19 day ago.
Wore a first-time tongue strap when runner-up at this C&D earlier this month, beaten less than 2L. Unlikely to be found wanting for stamina and should be there or thereabouts despite 4lb rise.
Forecasts
Braw Angus (7/2), Quinto (9/2), All Kings (11/2), Eddy (6/1), Mister Drifter (13/2), Thomas Patrick (8/1), Crown Hill (10/1), Royals And Rebels (16/1), Abbeygrey (20/1), Ayla's Emperor (25/1)
EDDY comes here having fallen over C&D 19 days ago but he's really turned a corner since joining this yard, winning three times in eight starts. He was in the process of mounting another challenge when falling last time and is not certain to be finished yet. Crown Hill will need to be bang on it fresh to give away weight, while the consistent Ayla's Emperor should throw her hat into the ring. Braw Angus should come on for his reappearance run and had looked a capable sort in the spring, ensuring he too is respected.
- Eddy
- Crown Hill
- Ayla's Emperor
