Going backwards when unseating rider on seasonal reappearance at Ffos Las recently. Likely to strip fitter, but has something to prove for the time being.

Little to enthuse about in two runs since returning to action last month. Blinkers are fitted for the first time and they need to have a galvanising effect.

Three wins from eight starts over fences, but has struggled on his last two starts since going up in the weights. Looks to have another tough task.

Seems to thrive at this time of year and came back from his summer break to win comfortably at Warwick. Has to cope with an 8lb rise which looks an issue in a tight handicap.

Seems to be progressive over fences and got off the mark when winning a novices' handicap chase at Plumpton earlier this month in first-time blinkers. Up 5lb with the headgear retained.

Back to form when scraping home at Uttoxeter in May, but was pulled up and dismounted at Ludlow last month. Questions to answer after that display.

Running quite well when last seen earlier this year and starts this campaign off the same handicap mark. Each-way claims if straight enough for this return to action.

How's My Friend17
Age: 12|  Weight: 10-1| J: Bryony Frost(5)| T: J G Cann| OR:  83
4/1
No great encouragement in five starts for current trainer, although the fact that his best run came at this track is a factor to bear in mind. Not ruled out, but others have stronger profiles.

Forecasts

Cucklington (13/8), How's My Friend (4/1), Water Wagtail (5/1), Drumviredy (17/2), Thegreendalerocket (12/1), Jack Snipe (14/1), Shanann Star (16/1), Triptico (20/1)

Verdict

With his trainer sure to strike form soon, Drumviredy cannot be written off despite a poor effort last time. Jack Snipe and Water Wagtail seem to have climbed too high in the weights, so this is best left to CUCKLINGTON, who won in first-time blinkers last time and can go in again off 5lb higher with the headgear retained. Shanann Star looks a threat on her seasonal reappearance.
  1. Cucklington
  2. Shanann Star
  3. Water Wagtail
