Seemed to appreciate the switch to Fibresand at Southwell when romping to a 20/1 success under this rider. Having only beaten one home here on her penultimate start, there must be a doubt she can defy a penalty

Winner at Thirsk and has run well enough at Newcastle to earn consideration here. Rare runner here for a yard that have a profitable record at the circuit, but fears she may be too keen on first run back from a break.

Has claimed seven races with the latest being a Thirsk seller in July. Recent performances do not inspire confidence despite a career low mark.

Last couple of efforts have been more encouraging but he does remain a long way below last winter's levels. The handicapper is taking note but he is hard to win with and looks better over 6f.

At his best when allowed to dominate in front as he showed when scoring here last time. Revised mark still leaves him reasonably enough treated but he will not have things all his own way this time.

Has dropped to a handy mark having followed everybody home in four of his last five races. Returns from six months on the sidelines and, if there have been issues that have been resolved, the market should be revealing.

Sole AW victory came over C&D and she has since added two victories at Haydock this summer. Well drawn for her prominent style of racing but handicapper probably has her measure for now.

C&D winner who should be near his peak following two runs back from a year off. Went well to this distance last time and he would be dangerous to overlook.

Now 16 races since her last win and she is somewhat inconsistent nowadays. Has shown signs of temperament going down to the start but capable on a going day.

Not seen since landing a poor Southwell maiden in December. Current mark looks unjustified and stable are out of form.

Mark has dropped a stone in the past 12 months but he remains without a win in over three years. Shaped better in blinkers last time but they remain in the tack room for this.

Forecasts

Waneen (2/1), The Hooded Claw (9/2), Broadhaven Honey (6/1), Swendab (8/1), Eternalist (10/1), Billyoakes (11/1), Bond Bombshell (12/1), Storm Lightning (16/1), Teepee Time (22/1), Nag's Wag (22/1), Gorgeous (66/1)

Verdict

Broadhaven Honey will be popular following her Southwell success. That does not necessarily show she will run to the same level on this surface and a penalty leaves her vulnerable. Swendab scored over C&D last time and would be hard to beat if getting his own way up front. However, there are other prominent racers with better draws and there is no guarantee this race will work out for him. Storm Lighting is a possible surprise package and a strong pace may help Billyoakes. David O'Meara's BOND BOMBSHELL is overdue a win but went well enough at Newcastle last time to earn the vote for this. Her profile raises questions about her consistency nowadays, but this race could be run to suit and she will get few better opportunities to bag an overdue win.
  1. Bond Bombshell
  2. Storm Lightning
  3. Broadhaven Honey
