Beat Easy Tiger 18 months ago and has drawn a blank since. Has joined a yard capable of extracting improvement from their acquisitions. Probably best watched after a year off and having been due to go through the sales ring last month.
2-6 on AW tracks and runner-up in another couple. Poorly drawn at Lingfield last time and did well bearing in mind how wide he was forced to race. Dropped in class and cheekpieces on for the first time in two years.
Winner of seven races but losses have mounted since last victory off 9lb higher in June 2016. Has winning form at this trip but best efforts have come over 6f. Last two runs were over 5f but still confirmed he is not the force he was.
Winner of back to back races in lower grade before a creditable run in at this level at Kempton. Just lacked the pace to threaten there but this looks easier. Can be forgiven a poor run on turf since and hard to rule out.
Has won on all three AW surfaces, most recently at Southwell in higher grade than this. Turned out under a penalty two days later when a drop in trip did not suit. Drawn wide but he will be dropped in behind and hard to dismiss in his current mood.
Won a Hamilton maiden when trained by Kevin Ryan last year, but has been off the track for almost a year and starts out for a new trainer. Best watched on AW debut.
Winner here last Christmas and best form since has come on AW tracks. Mark looks up with events and improvement is needed at this level.
Behind Florencio on his favoured surface last time and again failed to spark following a summer break. Should be competitive from this mark but best watched until promising more.
Has been toiling since a spring success but has come tumbling down the weights as a result. Showed signs of returning to his best from a high draw at Doncaster and has gone well enough on tapeta previously to command respect here.
Certainly looks the part on pedigree and is handled by one of the shrewdest minds in the game. Clearly likes it here and can go well fresh. Trainer's runners often respond to headgear so plenty of positives.
Effective at 6f-1m with all his victories coming on turf. Tends to start slowly and an inside draw may leave him requiring luck in running.

Forecasts
Makaarim (7/2), Exchequer (9/2), Phalaborwa (11/2), Twin Appeal (6/1), Easy Tiger (7/1), Boost (7/1), Inexes (8/1), Florencio (14/1), Custard The Dragon (14/1), Siege Of Boston (16/1), Gentlemen (25/1), Whirl Me Round (50/1)
The presence of Boost makes this a tough race to call. As a daughter of a Group One winning dam she may be better than this grade and certainly looked it in January. Cheekpieces are tried and the market ought to be informative. Twin Appeal is well handicapped and appeared to be finding his level last time. Easy Tiger and Siege Of Boston are weighted to their best as is FLORENCIO. However, Roger Fell's charge has struck form recently with a Southwell victory and a staying on fourth under a penalty over 6f. He is better handicapped in this over a more suitable trip and is picked to take advantage.
- Florencio
- Easy Tiger
- Boost
