Completed a hat-trick when winning at Sedgefield (2m5f, good) in April but came down mid-race on his return to action at Wincanton (soft) recently. One for the shortlist off top weight.
Placed over fences when trained by Guy Cherel in France but beaten in a couple of maiden point-to-points since transferring to the UK. Finished 6L second in the most recent of those in March last year and makes his handicap debut today.
Inconsistent performer but put in one of his better performances despite finishing last of three over an extended 2m1f at Fontwell (good) in March. Making his seasonal debut today.
Dual winner in Ireland but pulled up on his debut for this yard at Wincanton last month. Worth a check in the market taking a marked drop back in trip today.
Six time winner including over an extended 2m6f at Stratford (soft) in March. Disappointing in two starts this season most recently when pulled up at Wincanton earlier this month.
Admirable veteran who put a couple of non-completions behind him when finishing third over an extended 2m at Huntingdon (good) earlier this month. Well handicapped on his best form.
Placed three times over hurdles including at Bangor (good) in September. Unseated rider after the saddle slipped when favourite for a novices handicap chase at Kempton (2m2f, good) and of interest in this contest.
Three time winner and returning to form when finishing 15L second at Fakenham (good) earlier this month. Races off the same mark today and is one to note receiving weight from all of his rivals today.
Forecasts
Saint Contest (11/4), Master Burbidge (4/1), Howlongisafoot (4/1), Mr Muddle (7/1), Little Windmill (7/1), Our Sox (8/1), Helium (12/1), Big Bang De Loire (25/1)
MASTER BURBIDGE can put a fall on his seasonal debut behind him by taking this competitive handicap chase. The selection races off a mark 9lb higher than for his latest success at Sedgefield in April and can get the better of the youngster Saint Contest who is another who failed to complete last time out but is sure to have been well schooled since. Bottom weight Little Windmill ran well to be second last time and can claim third on this occasion.
- Master Burbidge
- Saint Contest
- Little Windmill
