Point-to-point winner and off the mark at the second time in bumpers when winning at Down Royal (soft) earlier this month. Had finished fifth in a valuable contest here in the spring prior to that and one for the shortlist today.
Unraced son of Arakan bought for €7,000 at the sales 12 months ago. Dam a moderate maiden and probably best watched on his racecourse debut.

Well held in a couple of bumpers during the summer and a similar story over hurdles on heavy ground at Listowel in September. Others make more appeal.
Unraced son of Stowaway bought for €38,000 at the sales in June last year. Half-brother to a couple of bumpers winners and one to note for a leading stable.

Finished mid-division when making his racecourse debut in a Killarney (good) bumper back in May. Tongue tie worn on that occasion is retained today.

Ran well despite weakening late on when finishing tenth in a bumper on good-to-yielding ground here in April. May surprise a few better fancied rivals with a leading jockey booked to ride today.
Made a winning debut when successful in a point-to-point at Broughshane (good) at the end of April. Impressed on that occasion and represents a good yard on his rules debut.
Unraced Stowaway gelding out of a mare who was placed once in a point-to-point. Probably best watched on his racecourse debut.

Forecasts

Rapid Escape (4/6), Punches Cross (4/1), Speirling (5/1), The Holy One (11/2), Gaillimh Abu (28/1), Singirishmansing (33/1), The Shunter (50/1), Oldcastle (66/1)

Verdict

RAPID ESCAPE looked a potentially useful individual when winning at Down Royal earlier this month and he can add a second bumper to his tally under useful amateur rider Lisa O'Neill. Punches Cross is related to a couple of bumper winners and hailing from a leading stable he can chase the selection home while point-to-point winner The Holy One can get the better of Speirling in the race for third.
