Won a heavy ground bumper here in April 2016 but nothing since. Slightly better effort in second of two handicaps last term although she only beat one home. 3lb lower for reappearance so could compete if she's ready.
Some useful form for Jessica Harrington in 2013 and 2014 but beaten out of sight in only three starts since and can't make a case for him at present.
Ran well in all bar one of her races last term and showed her liking for this course once more when second on latest run over 2m5½f. All ground seems to come alike so ought to go well if she's fully wound up on reappearance.
Unplaced in eight career starts over hurdles including his debut for this yard at Ludlow ten days ago. Beaten 8½L there so 3lb pull not persuasive enough to suggest much better.
Paul Nicholls couldn't get much out of this gelding and new connections have found precious little either with him beating one rival in starts here and at Plumpton. Handicap falling but plenty to prove.
Much improved when switched to handicaps in last two starts, finishing second at Plumpton before third here upped to 2m5½f. This trip may be ideal and there's plenty of appeal on this mark as he starts out after his summer break.
Won at Clonmel in May before form gradually took a downturn. Now switched trainer and change of scenery could be what he needs so could see a better effort now.
Yet to win in 17 races although he ran pretty well when fourth on reappearance at Chepstow. Likes to front-run and could go well if he gets an uncontested lead here.
Clear second at Plumpton on return behind a runaway winner. That his best effort for a while and unchanged handicap is below last winning mark. Not always consistent but obvious chance if repeating that form.
Won a 2012 maiden hurdle and form been progressively worse since. Very surprising to see him embark on another season at this age.
21 races without success in all and three runs since a short break all been very average. Tongue-tie fitted but can't suggest that making the difference.
Forecasts
Soulsaver (4/1), Be Daring (4/1), Knightly Pleasure (11/2), Sixties Idol (7/1), Bennachie (7/1), Snippetydoodah (8/1), Shadow Blue (10/1), Polished Rock (12/1), Millen Dollar Man (20/1), Sackfullofdreams (33/1), Max Milano (66/1)
SOULSAVER looks sure to take a handicap very soon off this sort of mark and he is worth chancing here after a layoff. Off the same mark as his return when second Bennachie looks a leading contender as does Snippetydoodah who like the selection is back from a break but weighted to go close.
- Soulsaver
- Bennachie
- Snippetydoodah
