Got up close home to score over 2m at Towcester to beat a wayward rival and struggled off this mark on return to action.
Supported following a long absence month. Would be expected to improve for the run and a 2lb drop in the weights will help. Yard 7-29 with hurdlers here since 2013.
Little to recommend her judged on her novice form and last month's handicap debut. Probably needs to come down in the weights before becoming competitive.
Winner over 3m here in March. Has looked in need of the run on previous returns to action, but jockey booking indicates a degree of optimism.
Moderate form last term including when beaten 26L into second at Warwick. Looked ready for greater tests of stamina but found 3m too far on penultimate start. Beaten when falling on return from a six month break two weeks ago.
Briefly outpaced on latest start but was noted staying on well in the closing stages. Further drop in the weights and longer trip mark her as one to consider on return from a six month break.
Landed a bumper here in 2015 on heavy ground. Good second on hurdling debut but has not troubled the judge since. Mark continues to fall and chances are dependant on yard finding the key to her. Tongue-tie applied and that warrants a market check.
Last of ten on her recent reappearance and cheekpieces are now applied. Can only be watched with so little to recommend her.
Has finished last on his two most recent outings and hard to envisage she has improved enough since July to take this.
11-race maiden who has shown limited talent over various trips in low grade races. Best efforts have come at Hexham.
Fair effort here on reappearance but tailed off next time and has been off three months since. Cheekpieces back on and chances if a break brings her back to that earlier form.
Appears to be improving as a hurdler and last two starts suggest this might be a more suitable trip. Yard had a winner at Exeter in midweek and she has some each-way appeal.
Third here last time but still beaten 13L in a race where the ground would have turned against many. Possible that run flatters her judged on previous efforts and 4lb out of the weights here.
Without a win since 2015 but turned in a respectable effort on penultimate start. Had little chance from 23lb out of the handicap last time and 5lb "wrong" this time.
Forecasts
Mozo (4/1), Flobury (5/1), Mole Trap (6/1), Outrageous Romana (13/2), Pennywell (13/2), Psychocandy (10/1), Vodka Island (10/1), Sheelbewhatsheelbe (12/1), Lavella Wells (18/1), Tara Well (25/1), Parlour Maid (25/1), Gilly Grace (33/1), Sapphire Noire (40/1), Anginola (50/1)
It is hard to be optimistic about many of these but Mole Trap appears to be going the right way and could give a good account at attractive odds. Sheebewhatsheelbe is a likely improver over this trip and Mozo would be worth checking for market support. PENNYWELL may have needed her latest run when supported at Chepstow. Further improvement seems likely and her yard's hurdlers have a good strike rate here.
- Pennywell
- Mole Trap
- Sheelbewhatsheelbe
