Won over 1m here last December and hit with a rise in the weights after a subsequent purple patch. Struggled under a stiff mark as a result and still looks like the assessor has his measure.
Paid his way with eight wins on the AW over the years - mostly at Lingfield. Hints at a revival last time but he's unlikely to be improving at his age and is starting to lack consistency. Place claims at best.
Best efforts over sprint distances and looks opposable on the ground of stamina and he lacks experience of an AW racing surface.
Sold for 50,000 gns after emerging a clear cut winner on his final start for Simon Chrisford and obviously has bags of potential after winning two of his three starts to date. Likely more to come and very dangerous to underestimate.
Unbeaten in three previous starts this year (with Jamie Spencer in the plate), so has to be respected. This looks tougher and his absence since May has to be a concern., but he has been progressing well, so merits a betting check at least.
Showed a good attitude to win over C&D last week and obviously arrives in good heart. has the same rider booked and her 7lb could again be a factor. Another for the shortlist even though the gelding needs to up the ante.
Already a dual C&D winner and had a solid record before being switched to turf last time out. Application of a hood an interesting move and may help him focus when push comes to shove. Rider's claim also a handy tool.
Mixed record of late but capable of holding his own at this level when on song. Interesting if supported on his Chelmsford debut but others more convincing overall.
Enjoyed success in the spring but not so effective on recent return to the fray after sitting out the majority of the turf season. Possibly better suited by a mile these days.
Capable sprinter but not so effective overt this sort of trip. A win on artificial surfaces has also eluded him so far and likely he'll extend the sequence to 0-14 on the AW after this .
Dual C&D winner already this year but still 7lb higher than his last winning mark and will need to up his game after a moderate effort when returning from a break at Newmarket earlier this month.
Effective at this level and the quirk of the system means he's much better treated on the AW just now. Decent chance on these terms and, given that he was placed in similar race at Kempton latest, he doesn't have much to find to do better here.
A bit to find with Pearl Spectre and is just out of the weights, so the case against is more compelling than in his defense.

It may be worth taking a punt on BOY IN THE BAR taking another step forward under Josephine Gordon and the gelding, who is well treated in comparison to his turf rating, looks a decent betting proposition. There are dangers aplenty and the likes of the unexposed Cliffs Of Capri and the progressive Gilgamesh are just two that can have an impact if they all run to their marks.
