A 15 race maiden over hurdles, so it's telling what lies beneath as he heads the weights. Beaten 10¾L by Small World on his penultimate start at Clonmel in September (3m soft).

A maiden under rules, but broke his duck in a 3m Lisronagh maiden last month beating Orchard Hill by 5L. Hopefully that point-to-point success has done wonders for his confidence.

Come Home Quickh16
Age: 5|  Weight: 11-9| J: Ricky Doyle(5)| T: M Fahey| OR:  91| D
8/1
Raised a whopping 9lb for his nose success at Wexford last month (2m4f soft), and that looks particularly harsh given that success came in a maiden hurdle. Career best effort required.

Its Only A Dream13
Age: 4|  Weight: 11-6| J: Mark Walsh| T: C O'Brien| OR:  92
20/1
Not shown any obvious signs of ability, including on handicap debut at Clonmel last month. Worth keeping an eye on the market just in case, as it would be folly to totally dismiss a JP McManus owned runner upped in trip.

Coole Craft20
Age: 8|  Weight: 11-5| J: Brian Hayes| T: R Donohoe| OR:  87
16/1
His sole career success in 19 starts came at Thurles in March (2m), and he remains 5lb above his winning mark. Raced over fences latest.

Glenabo Bridge8
Age: 6|  Weight: 11-5| J: B Browne(5)| T: O McKiernan| OR:  87
2/1
Backed off the boards at all rates down to 8/1 over 2m here last week (handicap debut). Upped in trip following that 7L fourth to Roja Dove, form that is put to the test in Division 1 by Zagnzig (third).

Forjoethepainterb145
Age: 12|  Weight: 11-4| J: D J Hand(7)| T: A Mulholland| OR:  86| CD
20/1
C&D winner in 2014, but is aged 12 now and has been raced sparingly in 2017 since winning at Roscommon in October 2016 (2m4f heavy). Others surely stronger.

True Identity8
Age: 5|  Weight: 11-4| J: Sean Flanagan| T: N Meade| OR:  86
10/1
Kept to 2m in maiden hurdles on her first two starts, but upped to 2m4f here last week when a never involved seventh to Jetz. Sister to GB winner The Unit (Alan King) and of note at least on her handicap debut.

Horse silk
Wheres My Dodih134
Age: 5|  Weight: 11-4| J: A McCurtin(5)| T: J J Walsh| OR:  86

Has five duck eggs against her name over hurdles (all over 2m), and requires much more now fitted with the first time hood.

Horse silk
Getaway Rosep16
Age: 4|  Weight: 11-2| J: Danny Mullins| T: Ms M Mullins| OR:  88
7/1
Has shown glimmers of ability over shorter trips so far, and given a mark of 88 for her handicap debut, which looks something of an educated guess. No surprise if improvement arrives now upped in trip.
12
Horse silk
Ali Bin Nayefp14
Age: 5|  Weight: 11-0| J: Rachael Blackmore| T: J J Hanlon| OR:  82
33/1
Won just once in 41 starts (over 1m4f on Tapeta at Wolverhampton), and the percentage call is to overlook this 14 race hurdles maiden, whilst fully respecting shrewd connections.

Horse silk
Glasson Ladb79
Age: 10|  Weight: 10-13| J: M F Mooney| T: Mrs A Mooney| OR:  81
25/1
His career statistics make for sorry reading, with not a single success to show for a 46 race career. Beaten 1½L by Station Closed at Down Royal in May (third), and that represents a recent best effort.

Yes Mant8
Age: 12|  Weight: 10-13| J: R Loughran| T: D Cullen| OR:  81
28/1
Won just once in 24 starts over hurdles (May 2016), but posted a fair effort when runner up at Gowran in September (2m heavy). Not so effective since and stamina concerns over this trip.

Back from 14 months off in a point-to-point last month (fourth of eight), and with no previous quantifiable form under rules looks a forlorn hope wearing first time cheek-pieces.

Horse silk
Northern Emperorp39
Age: 4|  Weight: 10-8| J: Donagh Meyler| T: V T O'Brien| OR:  80
10/1
A 20 race career maiden (0 from 10 over hurdles), but finished sixth to Euro So Brave in a similar contest over C&D last month, so has stronger claims than some despite lacking any real appeal.

First Reserve - A ten race maiden (0 from 7 over hurdles) and absent from the track since February. 2lb lower than when just over 10L third to All The Chimneys over 2m here in December (soft to heavy).

Verdict

With the 15 race hurdles maiden Walkers Point at the head of the weights, there's not all that much to get excited about lurking below. However, there are a couple of runners to keep an eye on in the market who could be of potential interest if the money arrives. These include the upped in trip duo It's Only A Dream and Getaway Rose (handicap debut). However, the Noel Meade trained mare True Identity probably is least exposed of those horses which fit that aforementioned profile. Of those with more form in the book, Glenabo Bridge tackles an extra four furlongs after being a plunge horse over 2m here last week, with that form put to the test in Division 1 by Zagnzig, whilst Wexford winner Come Home Quick could be thereabouts despite a rise in the weights. However, the speculative play is PADRAIC O'CONAIRE, with Paul Townend switching to this lightly raced gelding after partnering stablemate Grandma Dotty at Galway latest.
  1. Padraic O Conaire
  2. True Identity
  3. Glenabo Bridge
