Prone to errors but stays well and has champion rider on board. Form in hunter chases sends out mixed messages and best checked in the market for expectations on seasonal return.
Form figures resemble a bad Scrabble hand and he is yet to complete a race over fences. Hard to fancy as a result and with mark remaining 5lb above that for his last hurdles victory.
Took a while to warm to the task on his chasing debut but seemed to getting the hang of things late on. Fairly treated on his hurdling form and likely to be more of a factor over this trip.
Sole win came in this grade and he has been second on his last two starts in similar company. Form has taken a turn for the worse lately but he bounced back from similarly poor efforts last term
Two best efforts have come at Uttoxeter. Better on testing ground so last effort is noteworthy. If able to reproduce that form around here she would be hard to beat.
Veteran showed he still has what it takes when picking up his first race for two years at Chepstow. Had the run of the race there and a 7lb penalty makes a follow-up less likely.
Produced one good run in six last season and it is two years since his last success. Would be well-handicapped if this proved to be one of his better days but he remains a speculative risk.
Won on his first three starts last season and shot up 30lb in the weights. Mistakes proved costly in his subsequent races, particularly as he is slow to go through the gears.
In good form at the turn of the year. Has been in decline since and there was little to take from his reappearance a month ago.
Last victory came two years ago when with Venetia Williams. Has completely lost form lately and hard to see him figuring.
A season's point-to-pointing has made all the difference and he has looked a more mature horse this term. Up in grade having just got home at Newton Abbot in September and an 8lb rise appears harsh. Open to improvement and many of these carry risks.

It is difficult to be convinced by most of these but Bogoss Du Perret is open to further improvement and stays well. He receives a lot of weight from horses who have to bounce back from disappointing efforts and commands respect despite an unjustified rise in the weights. Timon's Tara was an excellent second at Uttoxeter and, given her form elsewhere, there must be some doubt she will run to that same level here. Talk Of The South is capable of bouncing back from a poor run last time, but Paddy The Oscar's penalty makes him unappealing. AS YOU LIKE caught the eye under a considerate ride for his chasing debut and his handicap mark is attractive based on his hurdling form.
