Stayed on strongly to record a 10L success over C&D in February (novices), and has progressed since winning off a mark of 122 at Wetherby in April (2m good). However, no show on his reappearance at Stratford last month and more required.
Ended last season as an improving handicapper, winning away from Newcastle for the first time over hurdles, at Kelso in March (2m5f heavy). Up in the weights as a result, and might well need this race, over a trip shy of his best.
A three time winner over hurdles, all over 2m-2m1f on decent ground. Off the track since July 2016 when beaten a neck by Lyric Street at Bangor (2m3f+), and whilst that was a strong effort, there must be a physical reason for his absence.
Won for the first time since 2013, over 2m (good) at Kelso last month. Well backed, so it was clear that a good run was expected of this once well regarded youngster. Up 8lb, but still well treated if fully over his various ailments.
Stayed on again after losing his position over C&D last month to finish 5L third to previous Carlisle scorer Barrys Jack. Dropped 1lb, and is a previous C&D winner, so could well have a role to play in the finish.
Made a sharp degree of progress for this trainer since taking a 2m5f+ Wetherby seller in March, and was rewarded for a string of consistent efforts when a narrow winner at Kelso latest (2m good). Up 3lb, and that's fair.
Well below par since notching a Carlisle double in February 2016, but of course his rating has fallen sharply as result. Off since May, and tough to fancy unless the market implies he's fully rejuvenated for the break.
Generally runs his race, and is a five time career winner. However, he reverts to hurdling for the first time since May 2015, and this looks a pipe-opener for another chasing campaign having been absent from the track since January.
Ageing five time hurdles winner who tried chasing over the summer months at Cartmel. Goes best on decent (good) ground, and whilst near enough his last winning mark (November 2016), others are likely stronger nowadays.
Won just once in 14 starts in Ireland (3m heavy at Sligo in August 2016), and makes her English debut for a new trainer over an inadequate looking trip having been absent from action since May.
Sedgefield specialist who is strongest at around 2m. Off the track since May, and had contested a seller prior to that, so a surprise if he's involved today on his seasonal bow.
Pulled up on her stable debut at Kelso last month (2m good) in the race won by Meadowcroft Boy. Much more required in the first time tongue tie for a trainer who saddled a winner at the weekend.
Sprang a real surprise to win at Perth in the spring (2m good) and whilst she's not fully progressed, she has run with credit since. Has 6¼L to make up with Meadowcroft Boy on her latest start at Kelso.
A Flat winner in the summer (1m4f heavy), this youngster lacks much in the way of hurdles experience. A two time runner up in juvenile events (over this trip), he should win more races, but perhaps not today.

It is well worth chancing that MEADOWCROFT BOY can back up his recent emphatic Kelso success, and provide further evidence that this once talented youngster is now fully over his various ailments. He remains well treated despite an 8lb rise in the weights, and the market certainly proved an accurate pointer up at Kelso. He holds a few of today's rivals judged upon that success (including Bahrikate), and it'll be no surprise to see him very strong in the market once more.
