Stays well and goes on any ground. Latest success came over 2m on the Flat at Musselburgh last month. Has been in decent form over hurdles prior to that and can give another good account, though others may be better handicapped.
Goes well here and has won three times over the equivalent trip over fences, plus a 2m6½f hurdle. 5lb higher today than when scoring here in April over fences and some time since he won from this high, so best watched on return to action.
All of his best efforts have been at Perth, including both wins in 2m4f hurdles. Well beaten in both recent runs from only slightly higher marks, so portents not good in search of a first win since May 2015.
Loves it here with all four of his wins coming at the venue and over hurdles, including this race last year from 3lb lower. Ideally would prefer a bit of cut in the ground, but competitive from this mark and has to be respected.
Improved in the spring and took a Hexham maiden hurdle (2m7½f, good) in April. Off the boil back over that C&D on his reappearance when pulled up. 2lb lower here but still has to prove that he can handle this mark.
Has proved his stamina in novices company in the summer, winning at Sedgefield over 2m4f and then Southwell over 3m. Well held on first handicap run at Worcester last time, so has a bit to prove from same mark but can't be ruled out.
Stays well and ha his optimum ground conditions here. Remains 3lb higher than his most recent win, which came at Hexham 17 months ago. First run in almost a year here, but did win fresh earlier in his career so precautionary market check suggested.
Pulled up in a couple of hunter chases at Perth in the spring and not seen since. Not badly treated on some of his better form from a few seasons ago, but returns to the racecourse with a fair bit to prove for the moment.
Forecasts
Tawseef (5/2), Landecker (5/2), Nemean Lion (13/2), Wind Of Hope (7/1), Scotswell (15/2), Ueueteotl (10/1), Solway Dandy (14/1), Classical Milano (16/1)
At the track he appears to love LANDECKER is the suggestion to win this for a second year in succession. Just 3lb higher than last year, he should be thereabouts and there are plenty of holes to pick in the cases of his opponents. Tawseef looks likely to be a danger and comes here in good heart, though he doesn't look any better handicapped than the selection. Scotswell has fitness to prove, but he acts well here too and is respected. A fully fit Ueueteotl could also have a say.
- Landecker
- Tawseef
- Ueueteotl
