Back near best form when third at Newbury (6f, soft) last time out and has fair each-way claims off the same mark again
Winner of minor events at Carlisle and Catterick over this trip already but put in his place in handicap bow at York (6f, good) last month and hard to make case for on that evidence.
Finished third behind Canford's Joy on his second start at Carlisle in June (6f good to soft) but has made decent strides since. Winner at Catterick in September and pleasing nursery bow at York last month (Canford's Joy well held behind) in third.
Yet to run a bad race in six starts but also failing to leave the impression there will be significant progress any time soon. Likely to remain a maiden after this outing having again run well.
Winner of what subsequently looks a weak maiden at Haydock in September, last of six at Pontefract (6f, soft) next time out in nursery bow, a run that leaves him with plenty to prove now.
Off the mark in 14-runner nursery at Redcar (6f, good to soft) late last month, that was due reward for a filly that has progressed well with racing. More called for upped in grade.
Twice a winner at Pontefract over 6f already, latest on soft ground 19 days ago in novice contest. Not as good in two runs away from that venue and has improving to do up in class.
Opened account at the eighth time of asking when winning 13-runner nursery at Yarmouth (6f, good to soft) last month. That was an improved effort and had a bit more in reserve. Respected on the back of it.
Zoffany filly made a winning start in handicaps at Thirsk (5f, good) in August, since beaten in two runs at Chester and Haydock in heavy ground and now tries longer trip.
Winner at Catterick last month on first attempt over 6f, that win bodes well for prospects here off 2lb higher mark and goes on the shortlist.
Dandy Man filly showed best form on debut over 5f (good) at Hamilton in June. Not as good either outing in maiden company since and hard to fancy upped in trip for this handicap debut.

A tough finale with no less than five last-time-out winners in the 14-runner line-up. Amongst them is GANGLAND, who improved to win at Yarmouth last month. He travelled smoothly and delivered his winning run with something seemingly in hand. Based on that positive showing, a 2lb rise might not inconvenience him now. Excellent Times also had plenty to spare when winning at Redcar by Tim Easterby's filly has been slapped with a 9lb hike for her trouble. Her stablemate and Catterick winner Biddy Brady is also expected to go well here alongside steady improver Captain Jameson.
