Admirable AW performer who has shown no signs of halting his progress on this surface where his record is 6-9. Up just 4lb for another game effort over C&D last time and closely matched with Pactolus on that form.
Track specialist who appears to be in the handicapper's grip at present. Clearly held by both Petite Jack and Pactolus on running here in September.
Four-time winner here, twice over C&D. Closely matched with Petite Jack on running here in September. Top rider takes over from a claimer this time though and he is 2-4 when on board.
Unbeaten colt who has held Pattern entries. The form of his latest victory has been franked since with both the second and third earning ratings of over 100. That puts him on an attractive mark and he clearly goes well fresh.
Had a streak of four consecutive victories last year and some good efforts in defeat this term have earned him little respite from the handicapper. Has improved since his last run on the AW but he remains vulnerable to an improving type.
Slammed a moderate bunch of maidens in June (second rated 61) and has found life tougher in handicaps on slower ground since. Not totally disgraced though and there is room for improvement over this longer trip on a faster surface.
Better last time when stepped up to this trip in a first time hood. Up in grade here and with a lot more to find in this company. Stable took this in 2015.
Forecasts
Middle Kingdom (11/10), Petite Jack (9/4), Ickymasho (10/1), Plutonian (12/1), Pactolus (12/1), Rainbow Rebel (14/1), Tha'ir (33/1)
Archie Watson has had a brilliant year and his ability to get handicappers to put sequences together has been exceptional. Petite Jack has an excellentAW record and his determination to win will make him hard to beat. However, it is hard to overlook MIDDLE KINGDOM who was considered for the Dante after his success at Newmarket's Craven meeting. The subsequent exploits of the second and third have him leniently treated in this and, provided his absence is not down to serious injury problems, he has an excellent chance of maintaining his unbeaten record. Plutonian is interesting on this surface and over his trip, whilst Pactolus looks sure to be thereabouts once more.
