First foal of a 1m-1m2f winning (inc dual UAE Group 1) full-sister to 6f AW juvenile winner Soofiah, out of 1m2½f winner. Trip looks a good starting point for a colt with a nice pedigree and should be capable of a good showing on debut.
210,000gns yearling. First foal of a 1m6f winning full-sister to 7f-1m4f winner Australia (inc Derby/Juddmonte International) and half-sister to Group 3 and Listed winners. Should do well over further. Concern over conditions given her pedigree.
Closely related to winners Lucarno (1m-1m6½f inc Leger), Thought Worthy (1m-1m4f inc at two/Group 2) and Flying Officer (1m-2m inc at two/Group 2) and half-brother to four more. Dam won over 6f at two. Lovely pedigree and should give a good account.
150,000gns yearling. Dam a 1m-1m2f winner (inc at two/Listed) and half-sister to three other winners from 1m-2m, out of 1m2f winning full-sister to 1m2f Group 1 winner One So Wonderful. Trainer/jockey combi won a division of this year. Considered.
Half-brother to 7f-1m2f winner Paling (inc at two), out of French 1m5f winner on sole run, closely related to multiple 1m3½f-1m5½f winner English Summer and half-sister to Group 1 winners Polish Sister (1m4f) and Meteor Storm (US 1m2f). Interesting.
€90,000 yearling who then sold for €260,000 in the spring breeze-ups. Half-brother to four French winners from 7f-1m5½f (inc AW/Listed), out of a French 1m-1m3f winner. Both sire and dam won with cut in the ground. Market check suggested.
33-1 but made a pleasing debut at Leicester (1m, good to soft) last month when racing prominently and eventually succumbing by almost 6L. Can come on for that, though will probably need to despite so little experience in opposition.
Sent off at 16-1 on debut when a 7L ninth of 14 at Newbury (1m, soft) last month. Ran well for long enough there before looking in need of it and should be much more savvy this time. Likely improver and could go very well.
First foal of a 7½f winning (inc at two and Listed-placed over 1m2f) full-sister to 7f two-year-old winner Mahsooba out of a close relative of US 7f Grade 2 winner Kayrawan. Stable 7% with juveniles this year and probably one to watch first time.
Well beaten in both starts so far over this sort of trip and including on heavy ground last time. Gelded since and may improve as a result, but will need a lot of that to be winning in this field.
Half-brother to 1m winner Zamyran (inc at two) out of a 1m juvenile winning half-sister to smart winners Mathematician and Oracle (7f at two/Irish 2,000 third), out of winning half-sister to top milers Barathea and Gossamer. Market check advised.
€13,000 yearling. Half-sister to winners Knight Music (1m4f) and Mirsaalah (1m 2yo/1m2f), out of a 7f winning half-sister to 1m4f-1m6½f (inc Park Hill) winner Meeznah and useful 7f-2m winner Mirsaale. Interesting pedigree and market check advised.
Half-sister to 1m6f-2m winner Body Language out of a 1m4f winning half-sister to smart 5f-7f winner My Branch (dam of Group 1 winner Tante Rose) and to 1m2f Flat winner/top hurdler Celestial Halo. Stable juveniles 0-6 this year so best watched.
90,000gns foal. Dam 7f two-year-old winner (inc Listed) and full-sister to 1m winner Weather Front, out of 1m6f winning daughter of Lingfield Oaks Trial winner Kiliniski. Yard among the winners , so check the market for clues to her chance.
Forecasts
Glencadam Master (3/1), Kinaesthesia (4/1), Oskemen (7/1), Nibras Galaxy (7/1), Allieyf (17/2), Best Blue (9/1), Corelli (12/1), Great Beyond (14/1), Zamandas (20/1), Qawamees (33/1), Hombre Casado (33/1), Billie Flynn (80/1), Born To Spend (100/1), Santiago Rock (250/1)
Again, the market is likely to prove a good guide to this second division of the contest, but it would be no surprise to see John Gosden take this leg too with GLENCADAM MASTER, who has a fabulous pedigree and whose sire acted well with plenty of cut underfoot. Allieyf is another who comes into the well-bred category, while other newcomers who catch the eye on paper are Zamandas, Best Blue, Corelli and Great Beyond. Oskemen could prove the better of those with experience, though this is more likely to go to a debutante.
- Glencadam Master
- Zamandas
