Not seen since last on debut in mid-summer behind outstanding two-year old The Pentagon. That race not worked out well beyond the easy winner so plenty more needed although now gelded.
In the first four in all of his five races to date including two here. Fourth here last time when given enough to do reads well and looks likely to be heavily involved once more.
Last on debut at Naas but made notable progress last time when outrunning 50/1 odds to finish sixth here beaten 3¾L. That effort not far off required so if he improves again he could be involved.
€32,000 newcomer by prolific two-year old sire Kodiac. Half-sister to four winners from 7f-1m2f. Top connections and speedy enough pedigree so merits respect on debut.
Not disgraced on debut here over 1m when finishing ninth beaten 6¾L. Should be capable of improvement although whether it will prove enough to play a major part is debatable.
Ran on well from the rear to finish fifth of 13 here on her debut last month over C&D beaten 5½L. Fully expecting an improved effort especially with the noted booking of a top jockey.
Finished seventh of 11 in maiden at Galway (7f, soft) latest, that her third start. Needs good deal of improvement on AW debut after a layoff.
Fast Company newcomer cost just €2,000 earlier this year. She is out of an unraced half-sister to a 1m2f AW winner. Trainer 0 from 13 with two year olds thus far.
Always in rear on debut before eventually finishing a tailed off last of 16 at Leopardstown. Switches to AW but no reason to be optimistic.
Not disgraced on debut at Naas and improved to be 3¾L fifth at Gowran over 1m last time. Drop in trip may help and looks one of the main protagonists here on AW debut.
Forecasts
Beckoning (1/1), Darkolva (11/4), Trophy Doll (6/1), Magical Link (14/1), Summer's Dream (14/1), Turnkey (20/1), Griffyndor (25/1), Brass Button (33/1), Her Approval (100/1), Departures (100/1)
The jockey booking of Pat Smullen is notable for TROPHY DOLL who ran really well on debut over C&D. That form is among the best on offer and with improvement expected she gets the vote here. Darkolva is certainly a contender also having been thereabouts several times in similar races. Summer's Dream also makes the shortlist after an improved effort last time out at Gowran.
- Trophy Doll
- Darkolva
- Summer's Dream
