Hasn't been able to get involved on the Flat recently but those have been some classy sprint handicaps and he is more effective on the all-weather. One for the shortlist.
Has been in fine form on the AW recently, winning at Chelmsford two starts ago before going close at Kempton latest (both 5f). Another career high mark here but remains progressive and should be right there once again.
C&D winner who has a nice draw but needs to take advantage of this switch back to his preferred AW after some poor runs on turf.
Has run well over this C&D in the past but needs to bounce back from some disappointing recent efforts, though they were in tougher races.
Has finished second here three times in the past, including in better races than this, and should be able to hit the frame once again despite a higher mark on the AW.
Won a good prize at Epsom in August but only tame efforts since and difficult to say how she will handle the surface on her AW debut.
Not at her best on turf at Musselburgh last time out when probably struggling with an increased handicap mark. Ran a good race on sole previous AW start but still best watched.
Sole victory this year came in a much weaker races than this and 0/4 record on the AW does nothing to increase enthusiasm about his chances.
Has won two out of his last three, including on the AW last time out. Up 4lb but gets on well with this jockey and deserved a crack at a decent prize like this.
Forecasts
Alsvinder (11/4), Bowson Fred (4/1), Landing Night (9/2), Upavon (7/1), Coolfitch (8/1), Rosina (10/1), Midnight Malibu (12/1), Rich Again (12/1), Stanghow (16/1)
This can go to ALSVINDER. David O'Meara's charge is the horse in the field with the most potential improvement in him, particularly on the AW where he seems to particularly thrive. Arriving here in much better form than his rivals he is drawn well and should find races like this within his grasp going forward. Meanwhile, Rich Again should enjoy this return to his preferred synthetic surface while Bowson Fred should find this easier than some of the top sprint handicaps he has been outclassed in recently.
- Alsvinder
- Rich Again
- Bowson Fred
