Belied his big starting price when finishing 1L second at Worcester (good) in September but well held when racing from out of the weights at Cheltenham (good) last week and this looks more realistic with a visor worn for the first time.
Victorious twice over fences but racing over hurdles in the main this year. Successful off a 3lb lower mark at Newton Abbot (2m1f, good) on his penultimate start and one to note on his return to chasing.
Disappointing in three starts since winning a maiden hurdle over 2m at Ludlow (soft) in February 2016. Handicap mark is falling however and he represents a stable in form (9/33) on his first outing since falling at Newbury in January.
Placed three times already this year but failed to complete the last twice and losing run stretches back to November 2015. Others make more appeal in this contest.
Sole success came in a Market Rasen bumper on good ground in March 2014. Had just eight runs since and return from over 18 months off when finishing third at Bangor (good-to-soft) a month ago. Interesting to see how he fares today.
Dual C&D winner but held in two outings since finishing 14L second in first time blinkers over 2m here in May. Worth a check in the market on his return to this track.
Successful over an extended 2m7f here in January. Well held in two most recent outings over that trip here and drops markedly in trip on today's seasonal debut.
Forecasts
Salto Chisco (5/2), Its A Sting (3/1), Lord Ben (4/1), Britanio Bello (11/2), Jackthejourneyman (6/1), Helium (16/1), The Jugopolist (16/1)
BRITANIO BELLO is sure to have been well schooled since falling at Newbury in January and with his stable in good form at present he can come home in front in this competitive handicap chase. The selection can see off Salto Chisco who has been running well in the main over hurdles and is a dual winner already in this sphere with Its A Sting capable of claiming third having filled the same position at Bangor on his first outing following a long lay-off last month.
- Britanio Bello
- Salto Chisco
- Its A Sting
