Winner of a Group Three stayers event in Germany on the Flat and beat the useful Ami Desbois over 3m at Doncaster two years ago. Not seen since failing to complete his last start 21 months ago and entitled to need this.
Progressed throughout last season and promises to improve further for this longer trip. Yet to race on ground as quick as forecast and the market should be checked for clues to his readiness after a nine month break.
£85,000 purchase for this relatively small yard and that looked a good investment after he hacked up in a bumper. Has appeared not to stay this trip on soft ground but likely to be a different proposition under the forecast conditions.
Front-runner has gone 16 races without a win. Finds little when headed and there are two other potential pace setters in the field to worry about.
The wheels appear to have come off judged on his last two starts over fences but he should be happier over these smaller obstacles. Remains hard to win with and others are preferred.
Has looked much improved this summer and has picked up minor races at Worcester and Wincanton. Has more on his plate here off this revised mark but has a fitness advantage and tactically versatile.
Joined this yard for €80,000 in 2015 and landed a maiden a year later. Appears to need a sound surface but likely to need this first run for 15 months.
Two years without a win but has raced at a higher level than this. Handicapper has given him a chance and he likes this track. Will be better for a run last week and stable show a level stakes profit of 76 points with hurdlers here since 2013.

Big Meadow is yet to live up to the hopes inspired by his impressive bumper success. His trainer perseveres with him over this trip despite having failed to last home on more than one occasion. It is only a matter of time before he opens his hurdling account from this mark, but on this occasion we prefer the chances of a race fit DARTFORD WARBLER in receipt of 24lb. Sue Smith's hurdlers do well here and the handicapper has given him an excellent opportunity.
